Congratulations on your first night in the cabin. If your kids become outdoors people, then you could use a solo weekend trip to the cabin as a reward or rite of passage for them as they get old enough to do so. Maybe give them a task to complete while there, build something or make an improvement, etc. Looks like the door needs a bit of sealing work!

A rack brace on the side of your bed against the wall . You lose no storage space .
