7 DAYS of building Survival Shelters / Bushcraft Earth Hut, log and moss walls ASMR
Once i stumbled upon this gorgeous and picturesque spot, i knew that i had to construct a dugout here! This was the first underground refuge of this magnitude that i ever built. My assessment of my capabilities was a bit off and instead of the planned three days it took me seven 12 hour days to complete it. However, i would like to express my gratitude for being able to experience the melody of birds, the gentle flow of water and the noise from within the woods. A special thanks goes out to the good weather which made it possible for me to finish construction in time. Though not perfect due to lack of professional building skills, i am still satisfied with what was achieved and on my next video will be back at this amazing place!

Design a house deep in the forest to survive, you are a strong and creative person, wish you good health
The only issue I have with this cabin is the location. Putting it into a draw is a bad idea. Water flows down the draw and the cabin would get flooded in a massive rain storm or fast snow melt. I would have put it on the side of the hill and then created French drains to keep water from accumulating underneath it. Other than that, great job on the construction of it.

I would be inclined to agree with you if it wasn’t for one thing: as counterintuitive as it seems, this guy HAS to know something we don’t know about about the weather, topography and type of region he’s working in. His building project is just simply too perfect, practiced and well constructed to think he missed such an obvious step. I thought the same thing you did immediately but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt because he’s one serious shelter maker. This dude is dangerously close to becoming an actual hobbit. I wonder if he built troughs on the higher slopes to carry the water around and away from the dugout? Maybe? 🤔 Like you, I’m all for moving that up on the incline about 12 feet and then going from there; but this dude has built a lot of shelters. This definitely was not his first project so I’m going to assume he’s got runoff accounted for. If it is his first, he’s some sort of genius…..like the Nikola Tesla of bushcraft 😂

Домик получился хороший! Серьезный недостаток, на мой взгляд, это расположение домика. Думаю, нельзя располагать строение в логу, или овраге. Вешние, талые воды, а также дождевые, будут подтапливать. Да вообще в такой низинке будет всегда сыро. Крыша мне не понравилась вовсе. Лучше было бы сплошной накат (тем более, что тонкомера вокруг достаточно), затем сверху пленка, а потом засыпку на 10-20см. Затем маскировка листвой. Это было бы надежно, герметично и тепло. Но это мое мнение, которое не обязательно к исполнению)) Удачи! И процветания каналу! С меня лайк и подписка.

По бокам можно отводные канавы сделать, а уклон воду будет дальше спускать...

Визуально выглядит как большой овраг, но чуть выше за упавшей елкой он заканчивается. Наткнулся на это место ранней весной, тоже думал что будет много талой воды, но как оказалось нет. С крышей полностью согласен, очень торопился, тонкомер буду укладывать изнутри, Спасибо за дельные советы!
