Thanks for saying Clint and glad you liked the video. All day long fun on the CBR500R because the fairings and windscreen really do help with wind protection versus having none at all. This is even more noticeable on weekend ride outs especially when the weather is not great. Good luck with your MOD2 and am sure you'll do great. Best Regards, Roy

I pick up my first bike end of this month. Cbr500r 2018 red white black. Also purchased black screen, and black widow can 300mm carbon tip. Red levers and black tank protector. Clothing I got new ruroc atlas 4 core and engine hawk predator hoodie. Can't wait so excited. Your video helped me decide. Thank you again. Hope you didn't get a ticket from the speed cam at 15.26 haha

Great review, I currently have a pcx 125 but I'm going for my A2 in 2021 and this and the forza 350 are top of my list, this just looks beautiful and has the optional top box for added storage.

Thanks for saying Raphael. The PCX is one of Honda's best selling so good choice on starting there. The Forza is a peach too! and you're right you can get a top box for the CBR500R. I always used an Oxford tail bag with heavy duty bungees to hold in place, the tail bag can be used as a rucksack as well.

Me too. I was looking to ninja 650 it has more power but more expensive. Then decided to cbr500r as first bike to gain some experience riding and maybe upgrading to 650r later (love 4 cylinder bikes) if feel the need to or just keep this. Just time, personal taste and needs will tell.

I got my license driving mt07 but first lessons were with cb500f. So got some taste of the naked version of cbr500r. Mt07 has more engine power same weight very nice to turn, but I found the Cb500f so much fun to drive and the stock exhaust sound is pretty decent with some pops. Loved it.

I put on the Michelin Road 5 tyres on and didn't have any performance problems, the grip in the wet was excellent. I must admit though, the rubber compound went a bit "flakey" and looked like there's an issue, a little disconcerting to look at only but there wasn't any performance issues. A few of my buddies had the road 5 too that went the same way. For that reason I would actually recommend the Metzeler they seem really grippy and I have tested them on a few other bikes. End can wise, well it depends upon a few things really, like being road legal, noise levels and personal budget etc. I went with the road legal BlackWidow which had enough sound with the muffler still in, about £200.00 all in. Hope that and the following helps. This link is when I put my CBR Blackwidow end can on the CB500X kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5mIzdOsXdm9hdY.html This link is when the Blackwidow was fitted on the CBR500R kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3iLl9lriK_YfJM.html

I have the Continental RoadAttack III tires on my 2016 CBR500r and am really happy with them. This bike is more of a light-middleweight sport tourer than an all out sport bike and a good set of sport-touring tires is a great choice when replacing the originals.

Hi Philippe, No I didn't, these are stock clip ons and the set up on the 2018 is slightly different then the latest model year. 2018 YM has the clip ons above the top yoke while the latest is below. Eitherway theres not much difference in being slightly cantered forwards, its a pretty upright riding position on both year models. Regards, Roy

@@philipjames250 Yes, now the T7, the CBR got hit by a taxi when it was parked on a motorcycle bay, and ended up being a CAT N. I fancied another CBR and probably would have gone for the 650R. However, I thought I would try something completely different after I had the courtesy bike; CB500. I rode the CB500 for nearly 2 months and loved it. The T7 was on my short list of test rides and after a shed ton of research, I rode the Tenere 700.
