My husband Chris is home under hospice. I'm his daily caretaker now. His cancer of liver is spreading. I'm making this part of our journey with positive vibes. Watching his favorite videos. He knows what's going on. I had a good day today with him. But he's always tired and sleeps alot. Especially after pain meds. I wish he would've followed through with exams and a liver specialist. He was diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2020. Now 4 years later the cancer took over and he's in hospice. I hope this video and my comment will really help people.God Bless you. All the blessings to you.

If you would like too. I would love it. I will put it on while we have a good day. I miss the way he was. But he drifts away. I put a song from Thousand miles away. He opened his eyes while drifting and watched it and talked about what the movie was about. Listened to a few other videos on TV. That made me so happy and sad. I was getting a piece of him back. Then pain set in and he had to go to bed and sleep 7 hours. This is when it's sad. But I appreciate when I get a piece of him back. Thank you.

To your point about cirrhosis not discriminating: I know dude that pulls down millions a year and he was just diagnosed last year. He’s 47 and simply boozed with his clients for years on end, non-stop. It doesn’t discriminate. You’re helping so many people. I pray your surgery goes smoothly and that your docs are surprised by your progress.

You are exactly right. It doesn't. It can happen to anyone. We just don't know how dangerous it is until it's too late. We all think we are too young to get it... nope. Age doesn't matter either. Thank you so much for the prayers. God bless

My dad died from alcoholic cirrhosis in 97. My sister got cirrhosis that led to liver cancer and her death. She got it from Hep C that she got from her husband who had it from a blood transfusion in the 80s. She had a lot of mental health issues so sadly the only doctor care she received was when she went to ER. She never went on meds for it. She also was addicted to opiates which I'm sure aided it in progressing quickly. It was incredibly sad. Ty for all you do. Praying for you.

Lactose gave my husband uncontrollable diarrhea which was bad enough in the hospital but when he came home it was impossible to deal with. He eventually refused it and then wound right back in the hospital with even worse HE. They changed to a different laxative which wasn’t as bad for home and also xifaxan. As I stated in other comments he did pass away in August. I agree with regular physicals but you have to actually change your diet and drinking to survive and recover. My husband chose not to change when he was initially told he had fatty liver in 2019. He was just 62 when he died. My children and I don’t drink having lived through this nightmare so hopefully this will never happen in my life again. Thank you for this very useful video. Good luck on your procedure.

I am glad you mentioned washing fruits and veg ( preferably eat only organic). It is not a far leap to get to your environment…don’t use aerosols, scented products, air fresheners, perfumes, harsh cleaning products…those chemicals you inhale can cause so much harm. You don’t only eat poisons…you can inhale them and cause systematic damage.

Just recently nonalcoholic fatty liver disease surpassed alcohol as the most common cause of cirrhosis in the usa. Largely due to obesity with excess intake of sugar and carbohydrates. The best ways i have seen liver disease improve is by eating a high protein, low carb diet with lots of coffee. Studies have been done that support this method as well.

Your videos have been a source of comfort for me the last few days. My cousin (more like a brother to me, honestly) died on January 11th from cirrhosis and so many complications that came along with it. He was 45, and an alcoholic. His health declined very quickly after his diagnosis in late October. I'm not sure why your videos have been such a comfort, but I'm grateful for them. Praying for you in Jesus mighty name my brother 🙏 just diagnosed with F3 S3 fibrosis, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can since late stage cirrhosis is probably inevitable. Went in for ultrasound due to high ALT and AST and they found a benign 6cm hemangioma. Lost 40 pounds since September by eating lower carb clean diet. Had a fibroscan a few weeks ago at measured S3 steatosis F3 fibrosis. All my blood work is good though nothing wrong with my platelets, bilirubin, albumin. Currently my AST is 25 and my ALT is 36. But I’m taking all precautions moving forward.

Thank you for making such a great effort to educate people on all that happens in the body with cirrhosis. Just the varices alone just wrecks so much, to include chances of having a gall bladder removed or have a liver transplant - that was my brother's situation, those veins were all over the place, and that caused him to have to keep his gall bladder that was failing.... and that led to his end. SOOOO many complications, so many uncomfortable procedures, so many harsh medications. I wish more people knew.

Thanks for the video Mark. I’ve been diagnosed with fatty liver and have pains in abdomen and right side of abdomen. Blood work has confirmed fatty liver with slightly elevated A/G at 2.3. Just got an ultrasound and waiting for results. Platlets are low and blood pressure and little high. I’m getting rid Of sugary drinks and bad fats and increasing protein and finer rich foods. Wishing you all the best, and praying for you.

Totally agree with allyour advice and I hope people listen. Im a good example of how you can have a liver issue brewing. I found out I had NAFLD in my 30s. I was 'lucky'. I had a reaction to a medicine and went into to what they called acute liver failure. They were expecting me to need a transplant, were typing my brother, etc..and then by some miracle, they don't know how, my liver rebounded. That's how I found out I was stage 3 so I stopped drinking anything (even though that wasn't 'the cause'), lost a lot of weight, changed my diet, started exercising, etc and when I had my follow up biopsy a number of years later they said my liver fibrosis had actually improved and I was no longer in danger. If I hadn't had that toxicity episode I never would have known what was going on because I rarely went for physicals.

This was an excellent video my man. I hope your surgery goes well which it likely will I'm sure. What You said is 1000% correct. NOBODY is invincible to ANYTHING medically speaking. Not heart disease, diabetes, cancer, cirrhosis, neurodegenerative diseases or anything else. People think that but they are dead wrong. I thought that. I was in active addiction to alcohol for years. Luckily, as far as I know that is, I do not have cirrhosis..I get physicals every 6 months to a year. People need to understand that what we do when we young will absolutely catch up to us as we age. Use caution and live well. It ain't worth all the bullshit and having to go down the medical rabbit hole for this shit. Drugs, alcohol, smoking and bad lifestyle just ain't worth shit.

But the Dr doesn't give me any "timeframe". My body now is fighting HARD & getting better results than we thought! I'm almost 1 year in after sudden 'attack' & almost dying. I don't feel it's my time anytime soon...😌💜✌️

I’m so glad I can give you hope! I thought the same thing when I was first diagnosed! They kept telling me I was going to die, to that I had only a year or two, and so on! But I made a commitment to myself to get better, and take good care of my body and listen to what it needs. I believe that we can overcome a great deal more than we believe; I think first we have to believe we can and not listen as much to those who say otherwise. I wish you both many, many happy years! Just don’t give up! God Bless!

@@Cgeo02 I made my health paramount in my life. I researched as many things as I could on liver function and living with cirrhosis, I changed my lifestyle, ate well and created an exercise plan (I know you won't feel like doing this especially. You don't have to become a body builder or anything, take it really, really slowly). But honestly, I think the one thing that made the most difference was my mental health; it's really easy to spiral down into depression, and that can be the very thing that can kill! We have powerful minds! Our bodies aften follow what we think so I would strongly suggest you learn how to meditate, keep a positive outlook no matter what other people tell you, and fight! You can get though this and you can still have a wonderful life! I hope this helps you, God Bless!

Thank you for that! I have never tried ginger tea. I unfortunately can't have too much because it interacts with my blood thinners, idk why. Thanks again! God bless

I have stage 4 liver cirrhosis. I have healed my liver through diet and obviously I don’t drink anymore. It is possible to live along life with cirrhosis. There are signs of cirrhosis. Number one, jaundice, number 2, ascites, number 3, weird veins and sores on your body.

Are you familiar with visceral massage? It’s a specific type of massage you can do to keep your stomach and intestines moving, such as when you have a partially paralyzed stomach. Think of pumping water from a well manually versus it coming out of the faucet on its own. (it can give much relief done after every meal, and keep symptoms minimal) I can add a link if you’d like.

@@liverdisease-qb6rk Sorry, I just saw your reply. Ugh I just looked for the video, but there are so many now that I cannot find it. I apologize. It has been a long time that I’ve been using this method of massage. Now it seems like there are so many types and techniques. I was in the middle of trying to describe it to you but then thought, “I do not want to explain it wrong.” The one I’m talking about, though is a full visceral massage for stomach, intestines and organs. It’s not organ specific, so it really helps it “all” work better. Maybe you could give it a look and see. It really does help so much. Again, I am sorry for saying and then not having anything to offer.

Fasting can help a great deal with liver issues, especiallt fatty liver but also helps with scarring and viral infection.
