My family is Christian and I have multiracial family members(Mexican,White(aunts married uncles), Puerto Rican, Russian.) My parents were the first African American couple to adopt a girl from China(now 10 yrs old), though it was on newspaper in TN, in China it was praised. I think its ok for those of different races to marry. My gf is Japanese/White(also Christian) but most people think shes just Japanese.

This is very helpful! Love has no color! There are many nationalities, but only one race…the human race. I love how God works! Only He can make differences compliment each person! I love that the only thing you had in common was you values, morals, faith! Just speaks volumes as to the importance of God in our relationships! I imagine it was difficult to have mom & dad not accepting of the person God has predestined for us to love. I'd think I'd be torn, but you two have chosen each other & like the Bible says, when you marry you leave your mother & father & cleave to your spouse! I love it! Great couple, beautiful family! I don't recommend "interracial" marriages or discourage them. I recommend finding the person God has for you and if that means and "interracial" marriage that is great. I married my wife because of her character, personality and of course physical attraction is there as well. I married a person not a color. We didn't marry to make a statement, but we realized that in getting married were making a statement.

WOW !! You are so blessed. This is my only concern when it comes to dating outside of my race. I've been black all my life and I've been the only black person @ work/school etc. So I'm used to all the stares and stereotyping and bigotry. I have thick skin to it. But, I would worry about the guy. Would he be able to handle losing some family members/friends and disapproving coworkers etc. How do u guys deal with it?
