Liverpool fan here but 1 PL title and 1 UCL during Klopp's tenure isn't quite "years of success". He's done a great job making us believe again but at the end of the day every football fan wants to see their team win major trophies. We totally threw away the league title given we were top of the table only a few weeks ago.

However all season have struggled to defend and once players started to come back have struggled to get the first 11 right. klopp gave the owners time but had to come out to allow thr club to start the new manager search. Salah should have been dropped weeks ago. The only reason Klopp feels capable of doing it is because he is going. The idea that this isn't Salah's last season is daft. He's wanted away all year. He could make bank in Saudi and has effectively donated about 100m in lost wages and sign ons to Liverpool this year. He can whinge all he lkes but he couldn't hit a barn door last week so it is not exactly hard to bench him, legend or not.

My theory is Klopp wanted to leave last summer but he didn’t expect Newcastle to finish above them for 4th place - and he just couldn’t accept finishing outside top 4 in his last season. Which also explains the snide comments he’d come out with about Newcastle and Eddie Howe now and again. So he in my opinion he reluctantly carried on for one more season to try and finish on a high. Someone probably got wind of this so they were forced to announce it public, hence the strange timing.

We should have sold Salah last summer. Paying someone £350k p/w who is 31/32 years of age and clearly in decline was sheer madness. Trent needs to go too, unless he bucks up and actually defends properly. never seen such a s***house professional footballer. He's scared of his own shadow.

Klopp should have really honoured his contract to the end. And his announcement was ill timed and the players lost faith because of that. How do you play for a manager who you know is having it on his toes in a few weeks? Although I think he’s fell out with the owners and decided he didn’t want to work for them.

IN LIVERPOOL AND KLOPP WE TRUST.. my understanding is that ultimately it seems Klopp wanted to make the substitution before West Ham goal but felt that Salah was taking his time getting prepared and when West Ham scored, KLOPP through frustration vented at Salah…. Salah upset at being dropped vented back arguing that it wasn’t his fault and that the gaffer should also take accountability hence the unnecessary debacle between both parties…. Klopp is certainly in his remit not to start Salah given the waffle performance the past couple of weeks (including other top players)

As a Muslim, I am proud to say that Salah is not only a remarkable player but also an inspiration to millions of Muslim people around the world. His contribution to Liverpool FC is invaluable, and you should all be grateful for his talent and dedication. Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool FC, should show the utmost respect to Salah, recognizing him as one of the best Muslim players in the Remember his name starts with Mohammed that means he's bigger than any other human being.Wasalam

The one thing fans do time and again when their team has had a period of success and things start to change is over-react. This happens at most clubs. But nobody wins all the time. I think they need to read Kipling's poem 'If' to get a more realistic take on life.

LAZY analysis! Klopp announced he was leaving in NOVEMBER, we are in APRIL! Nonsense! if anything this team has been galvanised by the so called “last dance”, they even won a trophy along the way. We have simply run out of steam, it was bound to happen with the injuries and the reality that this squad is not good enough yet. But that’s no criticism, this team is the start of a new era, it will need time and its own journey. As for Salah mouthing off to Klopp, he can mouth off when he starts scoring again in open play. Klopp took his game to the next level, Salah owes Klopp respect!
