As a casual fan of musical theater, it’s so fascinating to get a glimpse of theater through the eyes of people who are actually doing this for a living and know the intricacies of the craft. You guys are a joy to watch. I’m learning so much 😍 makes me love musical theater more

Writing comments as I watch the video. You're talking about storytelling. You're absolutely right. There are musicians that have great talent and produce beautiful sound, but the ones who are real storytellers - who make you believe whatever they are saying - they are a step above. Of course, Lea's performances as Kim when she opened the show in London and on Broadway were amazing: accolades, critical acclaim, and all the awards. She returned to Broadway in 1999 (after almost 7 years away) for a five month run. She did a short run in the Philippines at the end of 2000, right before going back to the Broadway show to close it out in January 2001. (I believe the majority of the videos you'll find of Lea in MISS SAIGON are of the Manila 2000 production.) Another great reaction! I will echo other requests for reactions to Lea and Regine's musical medley and also Lea and Josh Groban. They sing two songs - "All I Ask of You" (from PHANTOM) and "The Prayer." If you only choose one, I'd request "The Prayer." There are various vids of each song. BUT I will be greedy and ask if you *might* react to the longer vid that includes both songs and has some fun banter between them (he introduces Lea at 2:58): kzread.info/dash/bejne/qImFk6-Ae8XUmdo.html
I hope you'll consider reacting on her performance of "Higher" from the Broadway Musical "Allegiance". We were at the balcony but can clearly hear the power and crisp of her voice...
Hi guys. Just finished watching your amazing reaction to "A little fall of rain" 20 minutes ago and I still feel emotional. When Christian reacted to one of Lea's lines and he closed his eyes it felt like my heart got pierced.
Oh gosh! This is the production I watched her live, the Manila Production. I think 5 of us watched this and we cant understand it fully being not musical bunch lol, but we are in awe of the production values and the actors--and Lea Salonga. This gives me chills the first few lines of this song. This brought me back to that moment and more. I am learning so much about her character and story now, more than ever because you both are dissecting it like a member of CSI. Lol. Thank you so much!

Hahaha CSI Musical Theatre 😉 it’s a new show!! X
Just a thought... #LeaSalonga, as a teen when she took this part of Kim, I wonder where she gathered her emotions to portray a single mom and portrayed it so effortlessly and so real...

Being part of Repertory Philippines at such a young age and mentored by the Zeneida Amador, Miguel Faustmann and other veterans, she was totally equipped with skills for this role. And Lea is a singer who can act while Monique Wilson (her understudy in Ms. Saigon) is an actress who can sing, said the critics who watched them in West End.

@@rikiboypalaboy Interesting! I might have noticed this, watching The Making of Miss Saigon, how goooood both Lea and Monique were/are, but offer something different. Now we know why.

I have learned to love theater music!
With your in-depth analysis of Lea’s vocal capabilities and portrayal of Kim’s character, now I know why she got the Tony Award for Best Actress. I’ve watched so many “reactions” but only you two do take time to do a real reaction. Thank you! Subscribed!👍
I was very fortunate to experience Miss Saigon Manila.
Thank you for the review of this performance, I truly love your dissection of the song, the actress, the symbols, the nuances, the music. It’s amazing how the insights and comments you gave gave me a better understanding and appreciation of the musical. You totally put the words what I as an audience experienced while watching this performance.

It would be awesome if you can have Lea Salonga for a live interview and discuss about her journey as Kim in Ms. Saigon and her other plans now that she's in her 50s.

This was such an intricate review you guys! I'm learning new things I've missed out from my own interpretation of the performance after having watched it countless of times now as a huge fan of Lea. I am obsessed with stories and so storytelling matter so much to me and I appreciate how particular you are with it in your reviews. You guys are really good at this! Thank you.
Oh I'm lovin' Thursdays more than Friday now. Thanks to you two! Keep em comin' please.. That was a fun and educational 40mins!

It was interesting to watch even though it took me a couple of days to finish it. Thank you for all that you do.
You really have to react to this. I think it was before the ending of Miss Saigon Act 1 (When she killed Thuy). I had tears when I watched this show. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJl_0aWedKzaaJc.html

Yes, this, please! There's so much insight you guys could provide especially because of how intense this scene is. Even physically! Kim getting manhandled, carrying a child, etc. while singing. Pleeease. Haha. I love the talks you guys have @Northern Vocal Coach
must be difficult doing this everyday 7x a week, for months to years to different countries...always in character, portraying heavy drama and emotions...wow!
So much love the way you do your reactions guys, it’s not just the technicality in the voice, but even putting yourselves in the character! Esp interpreting the movements of the eyes, hand gestures, etc. You guys are great! Thank you
i like your insight into this scene. I watched this show years ago when i was younger but re-visiting these scenes and hearing your commentary is very entertaining. Its like sitting down over coffee and having a meaningful conversation with friends. i subscribed:)
Really a comprehensive review not only of voice but also of techniques, actions, characters, and story overall.. appreciate it!
Hello. If you had the time, please react to Lea in Thuy’s Death / This is the Hour. The intensity of the scenes there is amazing. i always cry when I watch those scenes. i hope you cm break them down for us. Thank you.

Superstar amazing ❤️❤️❤️😱😱😱😱😱
I love that in your reactions you actually do a review and it’s a constructive breakdown review of parts of the performance. You bring richness to the performance, allowing us to see it from your eyes. Love it!
Lea Salonga is history.
This is a great theatre class! Thank you, guys!
I love your reactions to Lea Salonga. It warms my heart to know you understand her as a singer and throwing herself into the role she portrayed emoting feelings from us as she still has hope through adversity, that her son will survive and perhaps Vhris would come for them, though that belief is drifting far from it's beginning. I definitely will look for more lovely reactions from you both.👏👍 Lea, in my opinion, deserves the accolades.
Subscribed because of your nice words to Lea. Your videos have Interesting visuals btw.
The best part of the video is when Christian is on the verge of tears but managed to control his emotion... 😌🌹I couldn't 🍃
So appreciative that you're not necessarily doing a typical reaction, but a conversation and a seminar about everything theater. So many layers and Leas to unpack, so little time, and still you bring so much, so many insights and revelations. I feel like I'm discovering these performances for the first time when in fact I watch them on repeat. I hope you react to Eva Noblezada's Kim, if you haven't already. Some people are saying she's a stronger actress but Lea's a stronger singer/vocalist. Thoughts?
Thank you for making Lea's performance even clearer and deeper for us. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Lea Salonga BEFORE she became Miss Saigon and everything thereafter. The foundations or "genesis" of her career if you will. Please react to her old performances as Annie and Eliza Doolittle. Cheers!
gadddb been waiting for the video... sooo much talks...
Binge watching your reactions on Lea Salonga's performances. Thank you for doing this, just subscribed on your channel🥰
Everytime I watch this performance I cry with no fail even though I dont have a kid 😢😢
Please review and react to Lea’s performance of “Human Heart” from Once on this Island. I believe it was one of her last projects before pandemic. Thank you for your sincere and insightful reviews. I’m a new fan!

Please react on moon river by lea . Thank you.
If you want to know her take on that exact song then react to her singing this in her UK concert where she explained stuff with this particular song and her different point of view now. This was just in 2019 kzread.info/dash/bejne/eaVhj9axiJDRedo.html
Lea doesn't really care what her mouth would look like whenever she sings any songs, especially this particular song.
try her "Via Dolorosa" so whimsical
Are you guys will react or telling the us story ??

I know in a reaction video, you guys need to pause and speak sometimes to avoid the copyright but by watching this video, I don't feel that you guys are doing a reaction video instead you guy pausing and talking during the performance way way too much and I feel that you guys are not respecting the artist at all.
I'm about the biggest Lea fan on the planet and I'm about to say something that may make people hate me. I don't like this song. It's not pretty or melodic at all to me. It's kind of harsh on my ears. Am I crazy.
I did not hear singing... Only talking. Thanks
