My advice for those trying to improve their listening skills is: ‘expose yourselves to stand up comedy ‘. Why? Because comedians deal in stereotypes which sharpen our ears to the many ways people speak in the States. Diferentes races, ethnicities and regions in the USA have their peculiar way of speaking and comedians make use of all that in their shows. An added bonus is that we pick up the American humor.
