    Cuckoo, these sounds are so beautiful and thoughtful. So many presets are overblown, showy nonsense that could never be used in a mix. Your nuanced variations on the electric piano sounds opened my ears to the subtlies that can create big differences in a mix. I love the popcorn sound. The last sound, Iliad Strings is so beautiful. I love your unique insights among synth tubers. You have your own style for sure.

    These sound unbelievable dude. Instant buy! Hadn't really got to grips with wave table synthesis and not yet deep dived it in my Super 6 but I feel like you've just massively expanded an already incredible instrument. Thank you!

    Funnily enough, I was wondering about sampling NES triangle and square waves into some of the slots, as well. I think it was after that guy did a video about how much less character-ful NES music sounds with a "perfect" triangle and square. You've definitely proven it's a good idea, and they definitely play nice with the filter! Loved the impromptu Kraftwerk rendition too, that sounded so close to the original! Pretty cool that it can be basically all of their synths from back then :)

    19:54 Driving in a sandstorm Dragons in a sandstorm Dragons inside of an ice cream truck Drag on silly song That's how I heard it. I bet you heard "ice cream truck" too, but were like, "no way, I'm not singin' that!"🤣 Just kidding, IDKY I pictured dragons in an ice cream truck in a sandstorm. They were driving pretty fast, skidding around turns, hanging out the windows, and yet it's such a calm song! It was like one of those war movies, in the slow motion battle scene where all the background noises are almost muted... except it was obnoxiously partying teenage T-rexes wrecklessly driving an ice cream truck. Totally made sense at the time.

    Haha. Yeah that’s what comes out when I just fire a few syllables and consonants, trying to keep from dull humming, but language like overtones. Give them dragons ice cream!!

    Sounds almost as good as my Korg Karma (but it has reverb and other stuff) which is not bad at all for this kind of synth, I guess.

    Hey Cuckoo, are the UA pedals processing the audio in “true” stereo?

  • @mattypaxton

    hey Cuckoo, what modulation is giving you the "key off" effect? Envelope 1 in reverse very short to filter? Such lovely playing and patches.

  • @truecuckoo

    @truecuckoo

    10 ай бұрын

    Yeah you've got the right idea. ENV1 in reverse to filter, using the Attack as more of a Decay functionality, and a short Release as the keyoff. Longer release on ENV1 = more gentle keyoff, until it goes away with a long release. ENV2 release needs to be longer than ENV1 release, to have something to work with. Strike a balance. Unfortunately, in the current firmware the Inverse ENV1 doesn't play well with sustain pedals, since the Attack doesn't restart from 0. But perhaps in a future update that'll change.
