I like pigeon

I have recently developed a deep appreciation for the assorted members of the Columbidae family. They're all such adorable and pretty birds! I'm especially fond of the fruit doves, the bleeding-hearts, and of course the mourning dove, which I hear outside my house every day!

Nice collection.. unique doves

wow this was fun to watch. There is a species of pigeon in Arizona I am trying to find reference to. I saw one in my backyard in Tucson once then we saw two yesterday on the Empire Ranch Historical Site stop just NW of Sonoita, and there is one picture only I have found on a web page Wild Birds at Gilbert Arizona Riparian Park. They are huge and chunky and kind of spooky when they stare at you. Looking for the name. Can't be that rare if I have seen them twice in two different places. You will see the photo, it is the first one on that Gilbert page but it only says Pigeon under the photo. Thanks.
