Pink Tape biggest problems - The length - Lack of substance - Lack of cohesive sound straight forward I respect the versatility of the metal songs but it can throw off the albums flow. For EX: If someone like Harry Styles dropped a album next week and had 21 tracks and had 4 boom bap rap songs on there, it would throw off It's cohesiveness and flow of the album, especially if there's other songs on the album that lack substance

I love “the End” a anime metal song from uzi is all I need, and my favorite part is Pluto to Mars(the song that he posted on ig 3 years ago), patience, rehab, days come and go. I was expecting a Uzi’s whole lotta red, but turned out I fw the old uzi kinda songs more than the first half of the album. I agree the album is an hour and a half which is naturally a harder thing to get through but stacking on top of that it’s got experimental tracks after a 3 year album gap we should really raise our standards we can’t have 20 or so skips on an album and it hurts even more to see the die hard Uzi fans who rate is 10/10 who I know in a month will not be listening to all 26 songs it’s true stages of grief they’re in denial and after reviews come out they’ll go into anger fantano will be shanked NFR will be stallked

I’d say 15/26 fr its a solid 6/10 I enjoyed it

Shows how subjective music is, I really did enjoy this album … uzi is my favorite rapper so doesn’t show much

overall it was solid i think uzi did good 7.5 overall

Me personally, I really enjoy the album and some of the experimental themes in it. Nowadays all of these rappers want to sound the same and talk about the same 3 things. I have no issue with it being 26 songs since the last time Uzi dropped music was over 3 years ago in 2020. A project like this usually has a great chance of aging gracefully since it has quality songs and tracks that flirts with a sound that'll be even more popular in the future. With that, Pink Tape is one of those albums that'll end up growing on a lot of people who initially resisted it. For me its definitely an 8.5/10 with a chance to be even better as time moves along.

Nah y’all just so wrong it’s crazy. This deadass AOTY, shit slapped. Better than EA, barely behind LIR2. Gets better with every listen. Only miss is cs, that song sucked. Everything else is pure gas. I’ve been listening to this album nonstop since release and I’m still loving it. Album was actually amazing. I liked rock and metal before I liked rap so I appreciated the direction Uzi took. I like how my favorite songs were y’all’s least favorites. Fire Alarm and The End were both top 3 for me. My top 5 is Werewolf, Fire Alarm, The End, Nakamura, and Of Course.

Fire Alarm is my favorite song on the album besides Zoom, insane song

after seeing uzi perform a lot of these songs live last night, it made me think that uzi really went for a more “songs i can perform live” concept for the album because a lot of the songs (Flooded the face, CS, Aye,x2 and Crush Em) went absolutely crazy live. But in terms of an at home listening experience, yeah it’s not great. A low 4/10 for me.

This is a performance album. There really isn't any deep emotion in it that's what makes it super mid for me...like literally 5/10 for me. I'm ready for Uzi to go into more of a mature style of music where he's actually talking about something instead of money, hos, how he's goat etc.

@@neoculturetechnology127 fair, but I was just letting you know what true 9/10 albums look like. Classic albums with an amazing tracklist that have zero bloat. And maybe just a mistake or 2. (Drunk and Hot Girls, and WHO? WHAT!) from each respective album most people would say are fairly mediocre tracks, therefore the albums are a 9/10. Also both albums have a nice concept, and the albums can easily be listened to and enjoyed from front to back years and years later. Pink Tape is more like a playlist. And there’s like 8 mediocre tracks on here and a lot of bloat. There’s only 1 BAD track imo. Overall its enjoyable and fun, I’d give it a 6/10. Its an above average album and a pretty good listening experience.

I'm not listening to the whole album but I'm keeping 18 out of 26 songs

Y’all are tripping hard especially on content. Yeah Uzi has some songs that don’t have that much content but tracks like rehab are excellent songs with a lot of good content and artists growth

I didn’t like it much on first listen cause I didn’t really know what to expect, but after a few more listens I like it way more and definitely think it’s a better album than a “mid” rating

Days come and go is the only track I have had on repeat, all of the other tracks are forgettable and I don’t have the urge to listen to them again.

Nah, most tracks have a time and place where it hits. We’re some songs stretched out too much, yeah, I agree and of course he could’ve had more vocal acrobatics but overtime the simplicity sticks. Few songs were too simplistic can’t lie, but it is what it is The metal songs weren’t that good but it makes the original and bands shine so much more, which people might actually get into that genre
