Great point from Myke and Ken at 21:20. I feel like a lot of the metal references Uzi draws from are seen as "watered down" and "played out" by metal fans, and a lot of people don't wanna see a return to that sound. Like imagine a popular rock band drawing from the ringtone rap era. It could be cool but I'm sure a lot of rap fans wouldn't really be into it.

  • @hxc4ever301

The metal reference are not hated because of Metal fans not wanting them back, if anything that sound is at its biggest peak in the last 15 years, the problem is that it has no personality whatsoever, Cs is a bad System Of A Down cover and the other 2 feel like they wrote the whole song and told Uzi, here is the part were you rap

All of Myke’s comments are fantastic. Great job separating personal preference from what the album/artist is trying to do or what he might be to kids of particular communities as far as representation and breaking down stereotypes. Also his comment about inappropriate labeling when a rapper is different is spot on. Valid criticism comes with context and Myke is on point throughout.

Unfortunately This New Wave Of Hip-Hop Is Mainly About The Production/Beats, Lyrics Are The Last thing to come to mind with these artists. i like uzi, carti, travis, etc but the beats r what carries alot of these new “rappers” now. & to be fair i don’t think bar heavy lyrics on these beats would work only because alot of us youngins & some adults r really about “The Vibes” more than anything. mostpits, melodies, & getting high is what’s being pushed by “rappers” & “rap fans” now. they don’t care about lyrics, & being really authentic. i feel like alot of new rappers are spectacles now & only care about the money & what’s the most popular/hot rn. im 23 but old rap felt & seemed like they actually cared about the fucking lyrics and music.

I feel like Uzi creates off of feeling I think he is the epitome of following the vibe (which is okay) and I think the album is okay as a whole but I think if you got the 10-12 hardest songs off that album then it would’ve been a great album to me personally. I’m not the biggest fan of Uzi but I think if he cut it down it would’ve turned an okay album to a “pretty good to great” project for Uzi.

I feel like they have too many biases to be judging modern hip hop. To be fair I hate all new hip hop so it wouldn't be fair for me to judge something I don't like. It seem like they hate everything and just wanna vent on my new music is bad.

The difference between the old people hating this album compared to the youth absolutely loving it shows how much we are evolving 💯

This is the most old head Feefo has ever been. My gripe with this album is it’s too long. If he kept it to 15 tracks

Hilarious, I remember when the channel started - Feefo said splitting an album up or removing tracks from an album would make an album better, and everyone said he was crazy. Now, I've heard the crew and people outside of DEHH say the same. That being said Feefo is wrong about this album, it's a good project.
