i respect the fuck out of CDTV for always putting time stamps in his videos. Such a small detail that a lot of youtubers don’t include but goes a long way.
Build your own album is a great way to put it. And that’s what i do with most albums: take the ones i like and add it to my playlist, and most likely not revisit the album front to back after a little over a week or so. That being said, I’ve been watching your content since back in the hopsin days (don’t remind me) but my playlist is gonna be the exact opposite from yours by the sound of your reaction lmao
Finally. A review that encapsulates this album well. I agree on what you said about this project being a playlist album (Doubt anyone is going to relisten to 26 songs). I think people are forgetting just how enjoyable EA and Lir2 were as a whole. This project is good, but as an ALBUM, I'll take Uzi's other projects.
As a metalhead and Uzi fan, I'm loving the new metal direction found all over this project. Would love to see more electric guitars used in trap too, Suicide Doors, Werewolf, Nakamura, The End and Amped are all some of my favourites. I also liked the emo trap/rage parts that were here for the most part. Days Come And Go is a beautiful listen

I really enjoyed Pink Tape and I'm enjoying it even more each time I listen it again, and yes Nakamura is absolutely my favorite song on the album, it's probably the best song on the album honestly 🔥💯
This is a great album for Uzi fans (look at my pfp, i AM Uzi fans) who were waiting for the unreleased tracks to release It's also a great album for people who wanted to see Uzi do something weird, different & exciting This is not a great album as a body of work. Maybe it's not BAD bad, but other Uzi albums are shorter and you still get the same Uzi you love from those but just in some shorter sweeter doses. The pacing is better on them & each of them has more of a distinct style Pink Tapes style is mainly just pleasing as many crowds as it possibly can: unrealesed uzi enjoyers, metalheads, tik tok users, concert goers etc...I am pleased by that as I'm a part of a few of these groups, but is that a good example to set as a major figure in music? To just drop a bloated album to cater to the streaming era and provide as many crowds with something to suckle on? Idk bout that chief I still loved my time with this album and I will listen to many of these tracks in the future, but I can't let dillusion win this time IT WILL NOT WIN Ok I'm putting way too much effort in this comment that barely anyone will read so I need to stop now😂
@oranges6165

The average music listener in the streaming age doesn't listen to albums front to back, so releasing a sort of mixed bag, long, scatterbrained album makes sense when you're trying to reach the masses. Streaming allows you to keep the highs of an album and discard the lows in a way that is still kind of novel compared to what music listening was pre-streaming. The view where an album HAS to be a concise, cohesive experience is a little bit outdated; many still enjoy that sort of thing, but most are just looking to pick out songs for the playlist

@@oranges6165 I think what Uzi did with EA was brilliant: dropping album 1 (EA) on march 6 and then dropping album 2 (LUVvTW2) a week after gave fans and casual listeners a lot of diverse music from Uzi to put in their playlists while still dropping a relatively short album first that can be more easily digested by the time the deluxe dropped

ur my fav reaction/review channel on yt fr
When I first heard the first 2/3 seconds of Nakamura , i was so hyped , definitely my fave song on the album , the theme song itself is amazing , now Uzi rapping over it , phew , insane
I loved the take that its a "make your own pink tape" kinda album. i made my pink tape after watching this video which cut 14 songs. i liked all tracks but only kept my favs to make an even better album.
Never would I ever think I’d hear Travis Scott say hit her make her do the griddy on a lil uzi vert album
Honestly you gave the best review to this album by saying it sounds like a playlist cause I was thinking the same thing cause I feel like on E.A he was tryna prove something but with this he’s just doing him making whatever he wasn’t
@EternallyZombiefied
11 ай бұрын
I kinda get that but I feel like there is some intentional track listing as the first 10 are like rage concert music then the middle is more like dance rave, then the rock songs then the melodic trap and then the final end song
Of Course was the intro to the original version of eternal atake much different to the current one. It was originally a much darker album but most of the songs leaked so he re did it
this album is amazing such a fun experience
I respect your takes but DAMN... My man roasted one of the songs fans who have been waiting to come out for years.😭 I like your honesty. Zoom and Of course will always be apart of my heart and most replayed songs of the album. My opinion on the track is similar to yours but I am sure as time goes by I will love it. The plus is that I am a Heavy Metal fan but the Uzi transition is a bit hard to get used to. Like I said, I think that will change over time. I am just happy that he experimented and had fun with the album. It is an experience 🙃
While Of Course was meant to open the album at one point. It was I believe a much older version of EA prior to Baby Pluto even being made. If you've never looked into the older EA tracks it's definitely worth it. Theirs some real gems tucked away from those sessions. Plus the history was pretty interesting i found. Some songs are also a good bit older than you may expect them to be.
Fire alarm samples the justice song stress. And as you can tell the name is quite fitting.
I enjoyed this album, but i kinda disagree with what you said for a lot of tracks. It sounded like you were looking for more traditional uzi, but i really liked the more metal songs especially at the beginning, and i think the more traditional songs in the middle were a little more boring. But I’m also really into the louder metal/“scaring the hoes” music. Btw scaring the hoes was my aoty but this could knock it off if it ages well for me
the samples r insane. im blue dabudee, shinsuke nakamura theme, chop suey. etc

Im ngl i just cant see the criticisms people keep giving this besides the amount of songs, which trust me i hated before it even dropped. The end is honestly really the only bad rock/metal song off the album, then theres misses that come from uzis usual style like crush em or spin again but overall theres 20~ good/decent songs.
I haven't listened to it straight to finish but I've heard most of it and it's pretty good. But an hour and 27 minutes is insane for a rap album imo.

Before I got into rap I was a huge rock and metal head. I fucking loved all the rock influenced and full on rock songs (except CS, Uzi butchered a classic). I really liked the experimental shit like Fire Alarm too. Obviously as an Uzi fan I liked all the more standard Uzi songs too. This album really had a lot of interesting songs and experimentation. I get why some people don’t like it, but for me it might be my favorite Uzi album ever. CS was the only song that I genuinely disliked. It also gets better with every listen, like this album keeps growing on me and I liked it from first listen.

I liked this album. Lots of creativity and variety. Just a bit too long for my liking
Flooded the face Suicide doors Crush em Amped Died and came back Endless fashion Mama I’m sorry & Werewolf are my favorite songs on the album
I think a lot of people are going to dislike this album because they expected old Uzi or the same old same old. I personally love the album. Is it his best? No. But there’s no skips for me. Granted my music taste is extremely diverse and it doesnt take a lot for me to enjoy a song. I think the rock, metal, etc will grow on people. People probably were shocked at the sound and didn’t get a chance to fully enjoy it (I know people may still not like it which is just fine). Did he miss on some sure…but there is no song that I hate or won’t play. My top 3 favorites right now Suicide Doors, Nakamura (wwe fan), The End or Werewolf.
🔥🔥🔥
Suicide Doors went really hard live, especially because Uzi just kept screaming into the mic all the time 😂
