    I remember my Target in Charlotte would be SMASHED after the weekend, I'd drop 4k of product in that store on Monday and it would basically be a new set every time because the shelf would be empty. Was nice at the time too cause the check in person never cared to actually check the product, so that sped things up so much.

    The ACTUAL work of an RSR isn't bad, I enjoyed stocking and driving and the time when you are left alone to just work. The problem I had in my 6 years as an RSR was management and all the games and crap they would pull. The store management and the Frito Lay management where the worst things about working at this job.

    ay bro, just a quick question. I start work in two days. The job I applied for and the pay info the hire manager was giving me was all about RSR meaning it had vrot. Now I see my on boarding online form and it shows me RSR associate. Does this mean ill be an RSA not an RSR and if so why do they have it under RSR associate. oh yeah and will this mean i will be getting true over time if its not RSR.

    Rsa covers routes and is on a different commission structure. You get paid on how the zone is doing. It sucks. You get paid very well as long as you work 55 hours a week. Rsrs are on performance pay and of you do well you get monster true up checks.

  • @Romer318

    @Romer318

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Jmeezy For an RSA, if you are hitting your overtime numbers, 57 is your target pay. So plus and minus that. RSRs get what we call PFP pay, so thr commision is based off of your route, instead of the zone like an RSAs is. I know that sounds confusing, but you'll understand once you start. Moral of the story is, starting out as an RSA, make sure you're getting your OT and you'll make damn good checks. When you become an RSR, make sure you're hitting plan and you'll get big bonuses.

  • @Romer318

    @Romer318

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Jmeezy It depends, you can bid on any open route that is available. As soon as you bid on route and win it, you'll become an RSR. Could be a month, most of the time it's 6+ months.

    If you ever want to financially grow do not work for frito lay long term. Once they implemented performance pay structure I quit. I was an RSR for 13 years when they payed commission. Now it’s the harder you work the company makes more, but you make the same. They make it sound good like you can make bonus if you hit your plan. It’s not worth it selling more just to possibly make an extra 100 a week. You’re better off being a Merchandizer and not have to deal with anything els.

    That’s in the ballpark. I’m an rsr in Iowa. Our starting pay for rsa position is $55600. You have to realize you don’t get paid by the hour. You get paid by doing the job regardless how long it takes you. I’m a 27 year veteran. I get paid around $200 a day and that’s on the low average. Whether that takes me 8 hours or 12 hours, that’s what I know I’m making for the day. You have to realize as well your pay as an rsa, they have factored in you will work 50 hours a week. So if you work less than that then your pay will be reduced a bit. It’s the same for me as well. I usually work 45-46 hours a week. If I was getting paid by the hour, I would be averaging over $25 an hour.

    @@rexevans9070 well now that you tell me that. Probably is not the best for me. The territorial manager is being pushy with me. And I'm not even working there yet. I heard alot of thing like for new employees sometimes they push you to work all weekends.

  • @rexevans9070

    @rexevans9070

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@cardenalgasdan5021 it depends where they need you. They had really gotten the position settled down in my zone (Sioux Falls zone) by hiring more RSA’s than what they were actually budgeted for. And it paid off big time as our zone made our sales numbers to back up over hiring for that position. But since Covid hit, it’s been a real struggle to keep people in that position. As someone who has made a career out of this job, I really don’t have anything negative to say about the company. They have certainly taken care of me over the long haul. Yeah you’re going to work long hours at times and holidays can be quite intense on the frontline. But I have no regrets making this my career.

    @@creativemind2562 you have to understand you don’t get paid by the hour. You get paid by doing the job. Generally you will average about 10 hours a day to do that. The person doing the interview is probably going to ask you questions to see if you are willing to work those types of hours. And also if you are a self motivated person. You will be working alone most of the time after your training and certification.
