when LGR unboxing videos are more exciting than Sims 4 stuff packs.

My left pinky toe is more exciting than Sims 4 stuff packs.
You should totally set up a museum with all this stuff sometime in the next decade, with visitors being able to play the older games on the restored old PC's, will be awesome!
Nintendo PC flightstick? The same Nintendo that has always been hesitant about releasing products for platforms that are not its own? That product is in need of its own history/review video.

I had one of these when I was a kid, found it at Big Lots, I assume it was not a big seller. www.ign.com/articles/1997/07/04/nintendo-licenses-name-for-pc-peripherals

I sent in the Burger MP3 player. I knew you would get a kick out of it. Although I am sad that display case was massacred by whatever post handled it.

IndygoEEI now you have to send everyone in the comment section one ok?
"Hands on BASIC for the PCjr" is how I first learned how to program, since the PCjr was my first computer. Many fond memories of that thing.
The ONLY unboxing I really enjoy watching on the entirety of YT! Makes me happy 🙂
Clint, my 3rd computer was a IBM XT 286.. I ran my BBS, The Eagle's Nest (NJ), for years on it. I still have everything, with original boxes, in clean storage. =) Your videos bring back so many good memories.. Thank you!
ooooh love the Nokia 'Smart Phone'. Also love those calculators! Have fun with your goodies!
Your shelves hold a lot of my childhood it looks like. I remember so many owning of those games. Enjoy your channel thanks!
LAUNCH was a CD-ROM multimedia magazine in the mid-90s. Interactive media, whoa! I never had a subscription but I did manage to get one or two as time went on. It would definitely be worthy of an LGR Tech Tales.
I'll be damned! I have a copy of Echelon on the C=64 and a LipStik. I've never seen anyone else mention the things until now. Great video as always. I'm always glad to see that there are places for all this old stuff to go where it will be well kept and appreciated.
Hi Clint, Watching your unboxing videos fills my heart with hope. I do appreciate those people how send you such great stuff. Nice day to all.
That slayers box-art is incredibly gorgeous. I don't even collect things, and I just want that box on my shelf.
I love the way he gets so happy opening these!
I don't know why I get so excited to watch someone open up boxes of stuff...but I love it
Excellent video! Was nice to kick back before my week gets Hectic! Have such a busy week this week. Job interviews and my Driving test. Thanks for the amazing content as always LGR
Really shows how strong this community/fanbase is that LGR gets sent as many packages as the biggest channels with many millions of followers. Keep up the good work Clint!
As much as I love these, it's like watching someone open presents during Christmas when you got nothing. :(

Yeah but it''s not like one of those snotty rich kid Christmas's. You know the kid will appreciate the presents so it's okay.

What would you or anyone do with all that old stuff? For collectors and archivists, it's less of a gift and more of a boon to help them fulfill their life's work. If you're a collector as well, I understand the jealousy, however Clint takes very good care of the exhibits. Much better than most would, I'm sure.

You do get something. You get to know for sure that human history is preserved in good hands, instead of being cast off to some paper recycling plant and being processed into a pulp.

You didn't get "nothing" bro; you got hundreds of hours of free content from him :-(
They say that Clint's storage rooms are like a black hole, an endless void that constantly consumes mass, with such a gravitational pull that not even Phillips USB Cow can escape.
I had that exact Thinkpad, wow the nostalgia. Used that thing as a kid to play games and listen to music on family trips. So many hours of Age of Empires.
These videos are great! I collect through LGR vicariously! I should send you a box of my random 20 year old tech stuff that I can't stand to throw away. Also, Kingsway is a fun little roguelite with elements from FTL - although not as punishing. Fun little game, I hope they make more like it.
16:03 DUUUDE. THAT'S MY JAM! Or the firs two are, "The mind's eye" and "Beyond the mind's eye" are both classics in my nerdy family. They were early examples of CGI before it was everywhere. It really serves as a milestone for how far we've come, cause by the second collection, they were including shots from The Lawnmower Man.
@5:15 If that isn’t the most satisfying thing ever, then I don’t know what is.
Great great content! Love the memories some of those old items spawned.
I used to play "The Way Things Work" when i was 3-4 years old, it was one of the first programs i learned to open on pc. I had it forgoten in my mind until you showed it.
You really don't need to hurry, Clint. I'd sit here for 2 hours watching you unbox stuff!
THE WAY THINGS WORK! I had 1, 2 and the pinball game LITERALLY MY CHILDHOOD ;_;
Wow this video is bringing back so many memories. So sorry most of my stuff (XT, 286, 386, Leading Edge computers) went to electronic recycling back in 2006.
love your vids. awesome work. great commentary
Gubble! Great Scott! That used to be one of my favourite games some 20 years ago...
I am fangasming over all the familiar titles in this one! Especially Candy Land Adventure, love that!
Links 386 CD was such a rad version of that game! I miss the 90s CD-ROM golf games, they always had such soothing music and chill vibes.
""Wow!" - Owen Wilson" - Clint
The Pro Skater 3, Alone in the Dark, etc. box. was from me. Was pretty sad the flashlight was missing when I got it at a yard sale. Glad they made it to you not squished! (I found the copy of Dragon at Goodwill the day I shipped that out, mostly put it in there as packing, haha.) Enjoy!
That's a lot of awesome stuff, man! I'm so glad you liked the XT 286 and monitors! Looks like they arrived in reasonable shape, but man, I've been sweating bullets ever since I sent it. That amber monitor is too cool to lose, so I hope it still works. I would have sworn there was a cable for it in the box, though. I couldn't connect it to anything at home, so I'm dying to see what that looks like!
"well that officially happened on my table. Never thought I'd see the day." What a good out-of-context quote
You got some amazing things there, and gravis sound cards are sooo expensive. I'm sure a lot of the other stuff is also. I'm looking forward to that gravis video :)
wow! what a fun life, getting to open and play with all these cool stuff! 💻🖨🖥🖱💽🖲💾🔌
That Gateway 2000 is a work of art. Next to Packard Bell, Gateway 2000 made some of the coolest systems in the '90s. My aunt's Gateway 2000 P5-100 XL was the first computer I ever used, playing Sierra's "Mixed Up Mother Goose Deluxe" on it in the summer of 1995. And I would love to see you do a video on these computers.
Odyssey and Beyond the Mind's Eye are quintessential 90s CG classics!
OMG! YES! Hercules cards were my childhood as much as Steve Reeves movies.
Watching all your videos , great stuff , regards from Argentina
Saw this at midnight, saved it for the morning =)
LGR is my go to youtuber the videos no matter what the topic are always interesting .
Oh my god I grew up with that model of Gateway computer!!! I used to colour in between the letters with a highlighter when I was really little and my favorite part was pressing the power button. We had the monitor too.
I dig that Gateway 2000 PC! My grandparents got a used P5-133 in the late 90’s that my uncle got from the bank he worked for at the time. Spent many hours on that thing!
I know this is an older video and I'm still burning through them but I'm glad to see you got an IBM thinkpad. A neighbor actually gave my dad one last month and I was gonna send it to you because we couldn't get it to work. It'd come on but it needed a startup disc or something but by the time I got money to have it shipped he broke it cause it didn't work.
You don't have to hurry! I would watch a 60min long unboxing video every week!
Cool, my box! Seeing it in one of these videos is strangely exciting :) Glad you received it and hope you'll review it some day (Micro Machines)
The aftermath looks like Christmas! Boxes everywhere! Thanks for sharing another great video! I hope that you do a couple Oddware videos from some of the items you got!
Wow, soon as u unwrapped that xt 286, I guessed what it was. Ty for all the videos
Wow 19:30 just reminded me of my first Computer a Gateway P5-120 tower that I was able to overclock to 133 using jumpers... The memories of playing Quake through Mplayer and also Diablo, StarCraft, Red Alert, Age of Empires, Duke Nukem, Half Life etc using an ATI all in Wonder and later a 3dfx Voodoo 2....
❤ that slayers game cover at 9:09
Ahhh that IBM thinkpad brings back memories! I had one of them at school. Used it to finish Doom 2 for the first time!!
The Mind's Eye! That's a blast from the past.
Gubble was on a pc game compilation CD I had as a kid. I forgot what it was called until seeing this video. Thanks!
Watching this in 720p.......wonderful stuff.
Thanks for a new episode.
I love your video quality man.
Some people really need to learn how to package stuff for posting. Here in the UK, even if we're just sending something to the next town, we wrap it in bubble wrap, put it in a padded envelope, wrap that up in bubble wrap, put that in a box, encase the whole thing in frozen carbonite and then bribe the Royal Mail to not steal it.
Is it weird that even though I'm insanely jealous, I love these kinds of videos?
Holy carp, that Oxyd Magnum box is fantastic. I am incredibly jealous there!
I have that same copy of Kings Quest, never realized it was special. I have all of them except the last one, which makes me a little sad because I had it as a kid and could have a complete collection if I wasn't a fool. Anyway, your box looks just that little bit nicer than mine (a slightly torn corner distracts the eye unfortunately) and it's cool to see you happy about it :D
Dude! That is awesome to see another spokane man is a huge LGR fan. I got a sams club Battlefield 2 big box i want to send ya some day. Keep at it, Clint!

Thanks! And that'd be awesome :)
LGR (Yo Clint), thanks for calling out the redundancy of ATM machine which among other pet peeves and puns qualifies you for my 2020 vote. Also nice friggin Les Claypool T in earlier videos I've watched recently. How does one go about sending you the things and stuff, I certainly have some of those. You're among a select few channels that I respect for educating me on my own taste and how to collect and refine it. Thanks again!
I have three of the minds eyes videos, early CG at its best! Also spent hours playing Echelon on the C64 so many good memories
*MIND'S EYYYYYEEEEEE* DUDE, Beyond the Mind's Eye (the second one that had some of the CGI effects from The Lawnmower Man) was the *_absolute shit_* for me as a young kid, so maybe one day I need to track down a copy, maybe as well as a VHS tape of it since that was what we used to originally own. Thanks for the memory rush, Clint and Eric.
I remember seeing a bunch of those Nintendo PC joysticks at a local Odd Lots (Big Lots) back in the late 1990s, pretty sure going for around $7.99 in the box. Always meant to get one but never did. And that Journey Through the Mind's Eye? I have a DVD of that; full of trippy CG video from around 1994, put to music principally by Kerry Livgren, who was with the group Kansas back in the 70s and wrote much of their music, including "Dust in the Wind". Still fun to watch, especially in hindsight.
I LOVE Final Unity!!!! One of my favorite DOS games as the graphics to me looked so real and amazing. Felt so futuristic controlling the Starship Enterprise from my Packard Bell! Now I wanna go bust it out and play it.
If you liked "Odyssey Into the Minds Eye" you might like to know that it is apart off a four video series. The four videos in the series are "The Minds Eye" (1990), "Beyond the Minds Eye" (1992), "The Gate to the Minds Eye" (1994), and "Odyssey Into the Minds Eye" (1997). In my opinion the first two videos in the series are the best. Also, there are numerous spin-off series like "Imaginaria" and "Computer Animation Festival" for example. Most of the Minds Eye videos are easy to find on KZread too.
We would not mind longer videos :)
Dude! The Mind's Eye videos were awesome in the early days of CG!
Really like these videos, hope to see a oddware video of that Lipstick in the near future.
The Day The World Broke! I remember that, I had it as a kid. I had a ton of fun with it.
Tonic Trouble! I was so bad at this game, but loved the snowboard(?) part at the beginning. I played that over and over again, but never got anything else done.
You learn something new everyday I did not even know that EA made cricket games
Wow, waves of nostalgia for me here! You're going to need a full time assistant to index and store all your stuff soon!
I envy you that these viewers are sending so many interesting equipment!
I love these videos. Just wish I had something worth sending
I had a turtle beach santa cruz THX sound card and speaker system. It was pretty amazing. I actually miss it now days .
Oh snap, a XT 286! In...well, in about the same shape as mine, just with less missing parts. Hope we both get our XT 286s up and running!
Ahh I had a Nokia 9210i back then. It felt like the future had just arrived!! Awesome seeing it's older brother is still around.
It looks like Christmas in August :D miracles do happen! 😱
You have a copy of mind's eye! :D I remember that when I was a kid.
F-22 DiD and Total Air War are the games that got me started on flight sims back in '99-'00 and got me thru some nasty days.
Why am I happy watching this?
The second I saw that Gateway 2000 logo my face lit up. My first computer was built inside of a Gateway 2000 BabyAT desktop case. It's actually a goal of mine to eventually obtain a pair of them. One to be used as my retro rig, and the other to be retrofit with modern components to be my LAN party rig. Also, that Slayers PC98 game...I know what I'm gonna be searching for later.
Aah that Gateway 2000 P5-166....... Memories. That was our family's first ever PC back in like 1995. About 5 years later we got another, a 'Gateway' (no 2000) PIII Celeron. I really hope you do a video on the 166, would love to relive those days!!
I watch so much LGR and Ashens at night and I can't be the only one to think they need to review some old Computer tat and make a few videos :D they're so similar
That Farcry demo disk is what's responsible for me getting in to PC gaming - it included a demo copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 that I think I actually played more than the full version...
I loved that Turtle beach sound card back in the day.
Speaking as a dyscalcic, you are the only youtuber that can make calculators even remotely interesting
OMG DID22!!!!! I played TOO many hours to that game when I was just a kiddo... omg such a throwback, pls make a review of it soon :'d.
YES!! I had that same Gateway 2000! It was my first PC!
Gubble 2! I remember that from my Childhood, you should really give it a go!
So much awesome stuufff~ And 9:00 looks like a Dynastie Warriors game or somethin' similiar~ x3
Clint is Cricket Curious ... great video.
Don't answer your door if someone knocks, Clint. It's Pushing Up Roses coming for that copy of KQ5. :D Also, It pains me that I used to sit in a room full of those PS/2s everyday back in high school. Then there was the other room full of 5150s. They replaced them all the year after I graduated. It's on my go-back-in-time list to grab one of each.
