Scorpions were huge in the 80’s with tons of great hits, but honestly I think their 70’s stuff is even better. Can’t go wrong with these guys! For the 80’s/90s, “Still Loving You”, “The Zoo”, “Wind of Change” and of course “Rock You like a Hurricane” 70’s - “Holiday”, “The Sails of Charon”, “We’ll Burn the Sky”, “In Trance” or “Speedy’s Coming”

I wouldn't say they had tons of hits b/c they actually have very few success on the charts. For example, they only have two top 40 hits in the US w/ "Rock You Like a Hurricane" peaking at #25 and "Wind of Change" reaching #4. Even in the UK & Germany, they have few high charting singles. Their biggest singles around the world are "Wind of Change" & "Send Me an Angel".

This is one of my Scorpions favorites as well. I remember this tour! It was one the best sounding and magnetic shows I ever attended! I was in the middle of that crowd and it waa nonstop rockin' and jumpin'. BIG FUN🦂 🔥🔥🔥

The Scorpions are having a residency in Vegas this month to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the "Love at First Sting" album which this song is off of. That entire album is superb!! I've seen them in concert 4 times and they are awesome!!

Back in the mid 80's this was one of the best cruisin' songs to jam out to!

80s Rule 🤟😝🤘, forever!!!

The Scorpions lived on the road back then. This tour went through 3 calendar years from 1984-1986. I was the class of '84 and went to their show on 4/29 that year. I still remember the day. Concerts were so great and affordable in my HS years. Hopefully you can review "The Zoo" one day.

The 80’s arena tours were the best! Where thousands and thousands come together for a common love of music.

I was at the Monsters of Rock tour in Candlestick Park in San Fransisco! SCORPIONS STOLE THE SHOW!!!

This is the best way to experience The Scorpions, LIVE. They're one of those rare acts that's way better live than in studio. For your next Scorpions. whatever the song, go with the Live version again.

Cant believe you guys haven't done THE ZOO or ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE. You haven't truly done Scorpions until those are played. 🤘😎

And this is the live version of 'Big city nights'... from their 1985 live album 'World wide live'... Originally from their 1984 album 'Love at first sting' (Scorpions' biggest selling record) ... Scorpions spent 1984 to 1985 touring the world extensively, playing South America for the first time... touring Asia and Europe, as well as North America coast to coast. They were more popular than some of their 80's peers like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Night Ranger, Tesla, etc. in that decade.

This is one of the songs on Scorpions’s album Love At First Sting that I fell in love at first note. I was 12 years young at the time but just waiting to step over the threshold into teenagehood and eventually into adulthood. Listening to this classic vintage song brings back flood of memories; seems like yesterday once more, to borrow a phrase from the lyrics of The Carpenters

They were great live. I got to see them at the LA Coliseum in 1988 for the Monsters of Rock tour which featured Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions and Van Halen. 🤘🏻

I was fortunate to be a teenager in the 70’s and rocked through the 80’s. Saw the Scorpions twice and they blew the roof off

Seen the Scorps on Van Halen’s monsters of rock tour. 1988. The lineup was Kingdom Come/Mettalica/Dokken/Scorpions/Van Halen. In that order. It was 8 hours of insanity at the Liberty bowl in Memphis TN. “I GOT MAD STORIES”. 🎉😊

Growing up as a teen in the 80's, I think I can speak for most of those in my age group, that we just thought this is what all music was supposed to sound like and had a blast listening to it, jamming in our cars, parties, going to concerts, even listening to it while doing homework in your bedroom --- great music was everywhere back then. Only today, when most musicians can't combine a good set of tunes to save their lives, if not having to resort to performing covers, does --- what is now considered the golden era of Rock'nRoll and its sounds come out as what they are --- Artistic brilliance. And countless bands were doing it back then. Don't know what's changed. But I'm glad we have the recordings from those decades to last the span of time and the original music videos and concerts on video. (and it's cool that you can still experience some of these bands still today! Scorpions are playing several weeks in a row right, this month and through next month, in Vegas, how cool is that?) .

Welcome to the early 80s. Man, music meant so much more to life than it does now. As someone who took the 80's journey turning 16 in 82, music was everything.

SCORPIONS 🦂THE ZOO - 1983 (US ESTIVAL)HQ is a good one to check out. It's my favorite performance of a guitarist using a talk box.

You two are just scratching the surface with the Scorpions. You need to do The Zoo, Rock you like a hurricane, Blackout, Tease Me Please Me, Holiday...they have a HUGE catalog. This is a great song, I am glad you all liked it!

Live the scorpions gave it there all. Seen them 3 times. Every time different but same energy. They must love what they do.

Scorpions are legends. World Wide Live is one of the best albums out there.I blasted that tape in my ride cruising the streets back in the 80s.

In 1990 I lived in the Detroit area. My neighbor Gary Douglas had been a guitar technician for The Scorpions and had one of their gold records on his living room wall.

They are still out there rockin' like this! I've seen them many times and have never seen a bad Scorpions show.

Back in 1984, I had the good fortune to see the Scorpions at City Island in Harrisburg during their World Wide Live concert tour...even after all these years, it is still one of the best, if not the best, concerts I've ever seen.

Love the Scorpions. This is one of my favorite songs from the LOVE AT FIRST STING album in 1984. Also had "Rock You Like a Hurricane" as their other big hit off this album. Such a fantastic band to see live. They could rock an arena and sounded incredible!

Worldwide Live, brilliant live album. Saw that tour in Arizona and man they were so good... saw them again in the 2000s and they still kill it live... just a great rock and roll band... celebrating over 50 years now as a band...

I saw these live 35 years ago. Check out their old concert opening number: "We let it rock, you let it roll".

This clip is from "World Wide Live" which is one of the greatest live albums and concert films bar none. Judas Priest's "Live..." is another excellent live album and concert film from the era. Both bands' music was better experienced live, the energy was through the roof.

The Unplugged "Send me an angel" is awesome. Proves they do a ballad. If you don't get emotional. You're a robot.

Just saw them last summer and even with them being in their 70s they still sound just like this. Great Show!🤘😎

Yes, this IS Arena Rock! I was lucky to met and chat with them at an after show party back in the early 90s. By then they were considered pop metal but in the early 80s critics labelled them as the hardest rockers around.

Saw them in Tampa during the monsters of rock tour in '88....Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, Dokken & Kingdom Come.

I'm from Tampa but happened to be in Spokane Washington to catch the monsters of rock! Scorpions and Van Halen were the headliners! Scorpions are my ALL TIME FAVORITE!! But remember at the same concert was also Metallica, Dokken and Kingdom Come!!! WHAT A SUMMER SHOWDOWN OF ROCK!!

ha, we had a friend that lived in Gainesville so 3 of drove down there from Tennessee to visit him and go to that show. Such a great day of rock, I loved Van Hagar but The Scorps killed it!

July 18, 1984 Scorpions with opening band Bon Jovi at the Charlotte Coliseum, one of the best concerts I ever attended, and you are right, there is nothing like the live concerts from the 80's I so miss that era.

I saw Scorpions on Tour with Tesla (another awesome band) opening for them a few years ago. It was a blast singing with them in the crowd. So much fun.

I was 13 in 1984 when this was released and a perfect time to be a teen as so many bands were out in their prime. Metallica, Van Halen, Scorpions, Def Lepard, Ozzy, and the list goes on. Judas Priest was my first concert around that time and it was beyond wild and out of control... just the way it should be.

J/A couple of hair bands to get back to- Whitesnake - Fool For Your Lovin’ and Twisted Sister - We’re Not Gonna Take It ( please do the video for We’re Not Gonna Take It) I am 99.9% confident you will like both of these hair band bangers from the mid 80s. Thanks for this great reaction!
