Scorpions is a great band. This voice is instantly recognisable. I don’t know how you can listen only to one song at a time of each band, singer etc. I wouldn’t be able to wait that long if I liked a song. I would’ve listened to the whole album or catalogue asap 😅. When I was growing up and came across a song that I liked, I’d go to a shop (yes, music record stores back then was a thing) or downloaded the whole album of that artist. How you got this much patience to wait, I’ve no idea 😀.

I haven’t heard this song in decades! And just hearing it today (for the second time watching your reaction) I realize how much restraint the drummer has. At the start it’s not even setting a rhythm, it’s just an isolated beat or two for emphasis in just the perfect spot.

For some great older rock songs check out "We'll burn the sky" (1977), "Loving you Sunday morning and "is there anybody there?" (1979), "Bad boys running wild"(1984). "Taken By Force" is a great Scorpion album to check out from 1977.

There is a 1983 song that has been popping up on the radar as it was used in the recent movie Air about Air Jordon shoes. The song is by a band called the Violent Femmes and the song is Blister in the Sun. It's a fun and different song and I think you would enjoy checking it out. Jay may think it is a bit weird but Amber will enjoy it.

One of the best songs ever made, just because of the feeling you get listening to it. Never thought you would get to this song since its more underrated songs despite its 330M+ views

When I saw the song I also thought of this one; a wee bit of 'pure 80's synth pop. Band called 'Real Life' same song... 'Real Life - Send me An Angel'. For more awesome Scorpion Rock Ballad try 'Always Somewhere' used to be on my play list all the time, great tune. Or a great inbeween song, neither ballad nor out 'n out rocker the great 'Is There Anybody There?' by 'The Scorpions' of course. Cheers.

The voices. The minor chords. The haunting nature of this song. Magic from the Uber Talented Scorpions. Ready for Winds of Change??? But this is my favorite tune. Magic made vocal.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Thanks, Rodger, for turning me onto this group.

I really liked this band! When they hit the scene, they were unique and I thought very instrumental and great musicians...and lead singer was EXCELLENT! This song proves it all!

Every time this song comes up in conversation, there's always someone who says how inspirational it was to them during some difficult time in their life. He's at rock-bottom ("the land of the morning star" being an obvious reference to Hell), calling out to God, or anyone who will listen, pleading for help, but learning that the strength he needs has to come from within first. It's easy to get lost in the vocals, and that guitar... but the lyrics hit you like a freight train.

Klaus's voice is timeless. It touches every crucial soul-meridian. You have to be a zomboid not to feel his voice. I still miss the Lovedrive/Virgin Killer days and before. Lots of fun watching them grow. But, now is just as beautiful. Thank you, Klaus, Rudy, and band for keeping this sting alive.

They are a great ballad band, and always have been, even back in the 70's which not enough people know about. Try "Yellow Raven", "Life's Like a River", "In Your Park", "Born to Touch Your Feelings" for starters. I'm always amazed that I'm the only one suggesting 70's stuff on Scorpions reactions. Back in the day when you had to import their 70's CDs it was normal for people here not to have ever heard that stuff, but in today's world, with everything at your fingertips i can't beleive how few people still know 70's Scorpions.

I have been a huge Scorps fan since a very good friend introduced me to them back in the 70's with the Taken By Force album which has a variety of great tracks on it. for the ballady style you must hear 'Born To Touch Your Feelings", still one of my all time fave Scorps tracks. For bangers you must hear "The Riot Of Your Time", Steamrock Fever" and "We'll Burn The Sky" , a track about Jimi Hendrix. I have seen them twice and they put on and amazing show.
