My husband and I got married 24 yrs ago. We had an outdoor countryside wedding with a beautiful white archway and 100 guests. The only thing he wanted aside from tuxedos for he and his boys was for me to walk up to join him to this song.Beautiful.Thank you for reacting to this and all of Scorpions great music.

Of all of the great metal bands the Scorpions are the most melodic of them all. You can hear in every song, the Schenker melodies, Rudy's got it, Michael has it too. I mean... Mathias's lead guitar accents the melodies perfectly. Just an opinion.

Great Reaction. I absolutely love the scorpions. This song holds a very special place in my heart. I’m not a Very religious person but sometimes we all need to call out to God or a higher power. So we can remember to believe in ourselves and hopefully choose a righteous path. Love the headband ! Please let Miss Diane know she helped raise a very kind young man!😀👍❤️🌼

Glad you are giving Scorps some love, they’re very underrated in my opinion. And yes, they had insanely loud concerts. In my experience, Dio was the loudest, scorpions a close second. Either way your ears we’re definitely ringing afterwards.

Yes it was the loudest I ever heard live. Had seats in 83 right next to the amps side of stage. Had ringing in my ears for a week at school after the show. Amazing performers live even today.

Scorps are awesome but go to an AC/DC before judging the loudest. I was 3rd row in front of the speakers and I was literally deaf for 2 weeks. But most all bands from the day are very special. The music now days can't hold a candle to what we grew up with. Fuck the producers now days they only have ears for money not good music. Up the Irons.🤘

One of the best song ever.. it’s so much more than a love song, it’s an EXQUISITE, delicate LUXURIOUS MASTERPIECE 🖼. Just dreamy and haunting forever . There’s so much depth and a healing energy that transcends time and space. Too bad it didn’t really land in US pop culture much. Breathtaking! And I looove his German accent. Love from a Bulgarian in US. 🤗

In biblical terms, the “land of the morning star” is the land of Satan. He is crying out for an angel because he is caught up in evil. Yet he knows, and is admittedly aware of this. He is at a crossroads and wants out of evil, and into light. He wants salvation and sees the beauty of this potential! …Great reaction! Yes, I also agree that Klaus Meine does an amazing job! IMO, he is right up there vocally with Freddie Mercury, etc!

By all accounts Klaus Meine is the ultimate pro in the recording studio. Also, pretty neat to think a lot of these lyrics were written by a non-native English speaking person and accounts about how that directly impacted their lyrical style and generally pretty direct messages in their songs. Appreciate the reactions.

To many Scorpion songs to suggest, so I am going to go with these as they are great songs, but not on the normal playlists, so often forgotten: Coming Home, Rhythm of Love, The Zoo and Under The Same Sun also try The Good Die Young featuring Tarja Turunen (original Nightwish lead singer). To see a different side of a couple members of Led Zeppelin try: Robert Plant (solo) - Big Log, In The Mood, and Little by Little. He also does a lovely cover of If I Was A Carpenter. Since you get lots of suggestions I want to try to make the first two more enticing, so Big Log starts with: "My love is in league with the freeway, its passion will rise as the cities fly by, And the tail lights dissolve in the coming of night, and the questions and thousands take flight." AND In the Mood starts off (this one has a beautiful melody, but not quite as deep as Big Log) "I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood" Robert Plant + Jimmy Page (The Honeydrippers) - Sea of Love, Rockin' After Midnight. Jimmy Page (The Firm ft. Paul Rodgers on vocals fro Free & Bad Company) - Radioactive, All The Kings Horses, and Satisfaction Guaranteed. I like Radioactive because it is sonically interesting and though he is jamming, it is one of the rare times I have seen a video where he is having a lot of fun messing with the camera operator. Not a member of Led Zeppelin, but the son of John Bonham, Jason Bonham had a band by the name of Bonham. Try their song Wait For You. The singer will remind you of a young Robert Plant, but I think that is what Jason was going for. He has played drums for Led Zeppelin on special occasions after his father's death and he really wanted it to be more than once in awhile.

I never really took this song to literally be talking about angels and all. I always thought of it more as using Christian mythology to describe a man in a tough situation, trying to move on, but it's really difficult. My guess was an addiction. Hence the "land of the morning star" was his own figurative hell, since Lucifer is the Morning Star in the Bible. So, he finds someone to help him, maybe a alcohol or narcotics anonymous group. That would be the "wise man". But he feels he needs more help. So, he keeps hoping that someone will help him pull through what he doesn't feel that he can; which would be the "angel". Of course, it doesn't have to be addiction, either. It could be extreme sorrow, actual depression, or something, too.
