"Let's get real about Love"

In this homily for the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time (A), Fr. Ben Cameron CPM breaks down three questions: What is love? Is it true that "love is love," that all love is equal? How do we love our neighbor when it is difficult to know how to love?
May God bless you all for your viewership.
This Homily was given at the Chapel of Divine Mercy in Auburn, KY on October 29, 2023 at the 10:00am Mass. We welcome anyone who would like to attend in person...May God bless you all!

The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

Such a strong and beautiful homily. Thank you so much father for this. For years homosexual men prayed on me and influenced me telling me to call them daddy, uncle or father. They screwed me up for 20+ years. My biological father was a disabled U.S.M.C. Vietnam Veteran and had to divorce my mom when I was young as raising a family was too hard with his ptsd. Please parents watch over your kids. There ARE predators out there and they are very sick and evil. Luckily I have priests and Jesus christ to call father once again after being saved by my Catholic faith. I do not post for sympathy I post to try and save other kids and families the pain and destruction that evil people have done to me and my family.

Could we pray for the 3000 Palestinian children kille d this month in Gaza and their families why is no one talking about or morally outraged by this ..3000. They were killed by rockests and died in the dark and hungry and thirsty as their water and electricity and now communications have been shut off for weeks deliberately. Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. "They know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.PSALM 82

Only this is life eternal: Jesus said “not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father” (John 6:46). Jesus did all he did for us to be united with God, yet people stop at Jesus and have completely forgotten about God. Instead, the whole world says “Jesus is God,” no matter what God says through Jesus. Jesus himself prayed to the Father and said, “and this is life eternal, that they might know YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). This comes from Jesus himself; anyone who goes against his words will not be with God (Revelation 22:18-19).

I was led to share this while listening to u. God says it himself tht u hate God when u keep statues. So thts not love for God. This sums up everything. Love God with all your heart and soul n mind n strength. So those who make n keep statues do not love God. This is why catholicism is false
