I hear Antarctica is available, perhaps they should start their own country? Imagine... the worst part of our society being a half decrease in our population? I mean they complain about overpopulation... they are the “too many people.” Think of how many wonderful things we would have and how many disgusting things we would no longer have! Of course we would have to build a wall around the penguin roosting areas and international science lab, but the rest on the uninhabited ice desert is alllllll theirs! I’m sure several countries will help pay for that wall, it’ll be the best wall, the biggest wall!

We're too few to wield any real power, and our culture has matriarchal roots, so our values doesn't align with immigrant minorities either - we just don't have any real allies. Our colonizers have erased us from history (we're the fairytale trolls btw), and people know so little about what the colonizer states have done to us, that *nobody* has our backs, not even the socialists. So, while it's not exactly a shock to hear that even socialists have been exclusionary toward a people, it's sadly also not at all surprising to hear that even organized collectivism still manages to leave people behind.

@@nappyheadedjojoba Thank you for the interest! I've been thinking about it, but I don't have time to do it alone. I do have insta, my account is @saemienmatriarchy. A blog is in the works, but will def not be published this year. Maybe february. I've come to understand that hierarchies create privileges, which in turn create entitled, abusive people. The left isn't in any way safe from the effect of hierarchies, because entitledness may also be created by being in an echochamber of yes people or asslickers who give bad advice in the hope that the ones above them fail. EDIT: In addition, the left isn't at all safe from general toxic masculinity, some abusers truly believe they're good people, others use it as a facade. I was married to a leftist idealist who emotionally abused me for a decade. It was so hard to understand because his words and actions never matched, and I felt like I was going insane. Learning how abusive people think is vital to get rid of assholes in politics. Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft is a great starting point END OF EDIT. It will remain like this until we have regular empathy tests and punish transgressions. Here are some examples of how the old matriarchy punished selfishness, from a reddit thread: "I don’t know of written history, but here are stories I have heard from people within these tribes: Cree: A man had raped someone. A bear had recently been killed. The bear robe was in front of a fire to render down the fat. The man’s family came to him and said to him something along the lines of “We love you, but what you have done was unforgivable.” They took the bear robe, fat still sizzling from the fire, and wrapped it around him until he died. The Lakota and Dakota would execute perpetrators. There are numerous accounts of this. Oftentimes it would be your family who did it. The woman who was telling me about this said “Our justice was swift and without question.” Tlingit: Someone who sexually assaulted someone would be tied to a stake at low tide. When the tide came in, if you died then that was what the Creator wanted. If you lived you could come back to the community, but you were definitely going to remember it. A more recent example was at Standing Rock during the DAPL protests. a man sexually assaulted someone. His braid was cut off and he was marched through the camp so that everyone knew why he was being kicked out."

One last comment - I’m relieved that Trump lost and I’m unhappy that Biden won. I hate how his win is being framed by the media. If COVID-19 weren’t a factor, Biden would have lost. He has no policy prescriptions that meet the material needs of the American people, especially the most vulnerable among us. There was actually a lot of apathy and lack of enthusiasm for Biden. No, I don’t think a candidate needs to be perfect or that you need to love them, but people are just tired of Trump. People just wanted his ass out. It’s annoying that the nuance required to understand exactly what Biden’s win means and why we need to ensure that A Biden Harris administration doesn’t fail the way Obama’s did, which ultimately led us to Trump, is not being considered. It’s being suppressed. Sure, Biden has gotten the most votes out of every president we’ve had, but Trump is a very close second. More people have voted for Trump this year than they did for Obama in 2008. White supremacy is very much still alive and all we’ve done by voting in Biden is put a new face on it.

@@_audacity2722 I hate Biden. I wanted Bernie Sanders. At the same time, there is a clear difference between Trump and Biden. Trump is the first man elected to openly and actively attack the democratic representation process in order to stay in office illegally. Biden also at least believes i climate change and will at least get us back in the Paris climate agreement. Trump withdrew us from it and accelerated the environmental damages and climate change is a very serious issue. Lastly, this guy actively lied about the virus to re-open the country to make himself look better to get re-elected. I am no neo-liberal. I do not think Bernie Sanders is even close enough to real positive change. I am literally a socialist and a political compass test put me to the left of Stalin. As for him picking fascists and republicans in his cabinet, it is still better as a neo-liberal is in control of them rather than a fascist. He will also put them in their place when they go against things like science and lgbt rights and gives him a slight edge so he might be able to pass a few concessions with the republicans by appealing to them as a moderate person rather than have basically nothing. You also have the fact that Biden will resign at some point and put in Kamala Harris who is to the left of him and has shut down fascists and republicans during the Obama years.

My sentiments exactly.....I supported neither one!! Let's fight for more progressive candidates and continue to cast our votes for those who are truly working for systemic changes to make this a fair and just place for all. All of this. I was never enthused by Biden. I just wanted Trump gone. I would have preferred Bernie. I am signing up for the most affordable ACA plan offered in my State and my deductible is $7000. I would have much preferred to pay a little more in taxes to just go to the doctor without worrying about premiums, deductibles, or copays.

I had a rollercoaster of a time trying to absentee vote from Europe where I live, had a ton of anxiety through election day and just in general was miserable about the state of politics in my country. My Dutch husband asked me after the AP called it for Biden why I was still so spacy and depressed since the guy I wanted to win had won. I was like yeah, 75 million people wanted Biden to win, but 70 MILLION OTHERS DID NOT. It makes me so angry and so scared for marginalized people like me, like my husband would be if he were American. Half of America is dead wrong and hateful and I'm just not ever going to be okay with that.
