If you eat a pound of food, then the most you can gain is one pound unless your stomach is somehow violating the laws of physics, which it isn't. If you eat by weight (i.e. use a scale to weigh all food and drinks), you can lose weight. Then you can eat whatever you want and maintain whatever weight you want to maintain at all times. The real secret to losing weight is to weigh the food you will eat before eating it. Many myths/lies are perpetrated by the weight loss and sugar industries.

Chef, you are a treasure to all who eat. I learn to cook when I was 13 years old. To learn to grill pork chops, steak, and hamburgers. That was 50 years ago. I love your skill, kindness, your amazing sayings, and your sense of humor. I love butter and wine too, I always measure carefully, 😅 not! Bless you and keep cooking for us for another 50 years.

My late Moms favourite dessert in the world was Lemon Meringue, I`ve made it for Her countless times over the years and the curd recipe i used was virtually identical to Chef`s recipe. It`s amazing, i just wish that my Mom was still here so i could make it for her and see Her face light up as She tucked into the crispy meringue piped topping. RIP Mom, love you. x

I made your crunchy brownies for the second time yesterday, and made a slight change this time...I took an idea from your chocolate chunk cookies (which we LOVE), and replaced 1/4 cup if the sugar, with light brown sugar. I figured it would make them more 'carmelly', especially with the heath bits in them. DELICIOUS!!!! Confession, they are almost gone! By the way, THANK YOU for making the notation, in order to double or triple the recipe...you are the BOMB!!! WE LOVE YOU and look forward to Monday's and Thursday's. Saw the bowl of sweet potatoes on your counter...hmmm, wondering if we will see a new sweet potato dish this week? Chef Jean Pierre -- my lovely wife made this the very next day. We served it with pound cake (we had in the freezer). Oh my -- absolutely superb! Not too sweet, plenty of lemon flavor, and a perfect complement to the rich, delicate pound cake. Yet another recipe for the catalog!

My dad and I would enjoy just dipping good ripe raspberries into lemon curd and eating that as a treat when I was younger. Might have to make this recipe and give him some to try.

Good morning Chef J-P, nothing as delicious and zingy as home made lemon curd. The curd looks so delicious and smooth could eat it with a spoon, just a little bit and make lemon merengue with the rest, just tasting for the flavour :) happy days, love your cooking shows and telling us how "to" . I'm in the hospital right now being injected poked and prodded, having all kinds of ugly tests, my arms are all different colors of green, blue, and purple and the FOOD IS TERRIBLE! I want to March downstairs to the kitchen and help those chefs cook. Some of the things they make could be very good with just a few adjustments. The thing I think is so weird is they put a can of Pepsi on every tray, every meal. But watching you and hearing your voice is getting me through this. Thank you for being so positive and cheerful ❤

I have a Lemon Curd recipe from several years ago. I would much rather make it from a professional chef's recipe than one that was sent into a magazine. I LOVE lemons, so this will be a real treat for me. Is there any way you can show us how you make Lemon Tiramisu? Never tried that but would love to. Perfect. I love lemon curd and home-made is unbeatable. A few years ago, I had forgotten to make a plate to take to friends' for a shared lunch. In a panic, l bought some mini tart cases filled with lemon curd and, to make them look a little more special, l topped each one with a strawberry cut into a fan. They were outstanding. I had no idea lemon and strawberry went so well together. Everyone commented on how good they were and l never admitted that l'd improvised. Definitely recommend making them with this.

Been making my own lemon curd for several years now; used to be intimidated by it, but once you make it yourself you never go back to store bought. I like to use it on top of my cheesecake. Love your videos

I just found and immediately made this recipe...... Oh my God friends!! Delicious!! So bright and fresh. It took me less than 30 minutes to prepare all my ingredients and make the custard. I think because I used an aluminum pan, the color was more of a yellow greenish color lol, next time I will be making it using stainless steel. Thank you Chef for another of you amazingly simple yet flavorful recipes.
