Thats actually a really cool design and style thats not too much held back by the age range, and man that '1' is clever

That firetruck is one of the best looking lego toy firetrucks in my opinion, it's unfortunately that the truck doesn't have a fire hose for the minifigs like they always had back in the day. The station itself also looks great, but again, the fact that the truck doesn't even halfway fit inside is disappointing, however those door mechanism are amazing! Overall it's a really nice set, far from perfect, but I would have loved to have this as a kid.

Really love this one! The design of the station is really unique! Almost gives off a sort of classic, but also a modern lego vibe. Love the garage mechanism as well!

Really enjoy the unusual design of it. Feels like police/fire stations looked basically the same for years and years, so it's nice to see something completely different from the past. A big plus also for having the options with the truck, as someone who prefers more realistic-looking City sets, I've been rather disappointed in the last 5-10 years where a lot of fire trucks have just had a big fire cannon that didn't look believable at all. With this one you can have it either way you prefer.

It would be interesting to see 2 of these combined into a full building. Looks like it wouldn't need much modification other than the builds on the roof.

I like this one. The design is really cool. I completely agree on the shalloweness of sets. Almost ALL lego city sets give nearly 0 space for minifigures, even some star wars sets have better floor space. Its a big problem

Station looks really modern. Truck looks good, but too bad about the wasted body of the truck, could have hollowed out to allow transport of firemen.

The very nice part about how the doors are constructed is that it looks really easy to widen them by a couple of studs, maybe even make them taller to support the whole truck, including any side mirrors. (that's been my problem with the old 8-wide segmented garage doors for years, they're too narrow for the huge trucks we get). I'm looking forward to seeing how this looks when expanded, and how easy it is to make other numbers with the existing tiles....

This and the Friends mansion are really great designs

I wish the central space also had a door, it looks a little incomplete like this. I do like the building's design though, it feels sort of retro-futuristic

I wasn't really interested in City too much until this 2024 wave. Now I can't resist. I especially like the Fireman with the flaming pajamas!

Bought two of them and put them together. Much better than just one

Kinda reminds me of the fire station set I had in the 90s. Also that dog mould would be great for a guide dog, if they do one without the print! :)

They actually made a nice guide dog piece last year, it's like a harness with a handle that attaches to a regular dog.

Even though I'm primarily a classic castle/pirates/space junky, I've always had a heart for emergency vehicles and oversized vehicles. I could definitely see myself buying this and modding both the station and truck. I'd want to add significantly more depth for both the truck and living quarters. The I'd remove the "water tank", make space for a second fireman, and add an old reel hose. Plus, if I'm feeling frisky, I'd change the truck color scheme to white with a blue stripe like the county fire engines where I live.

I really like how the newer City sets are taking on a more unconventional, modern look

Yeah, City "station" sets had really become stagnated and boring. These new, bold designs with crisp colours have made stations desirable again ❤

Thank you very much for showing us the details of this set. I enjoy your reviews very much. There are quite a few things in regard to this set that I have missed when I looked at the pictures a few weeks ago. This set turned out to better than I had expected.

i understand that they can not make the build long enough to fit the truck but it might be better if they build the station in a way that the garages have no plates in the driveway (perhaps a curb where the door meets the ground for structural integrity) but the truck stays directly on the floor so it is all even. that might make the play a little smoother

An okay start to a station. Some curved glass windows to fill enclose that middle section would really help to make the set look bulkier. They should have put some "water" in that huge empty truck space to go along with the outside pieces. The old guy's shirt should have just been some random shirt to show that he really is in a hurry to get dressed.

RIP the original fire helmet. You will be missed.

I just watched Fahrenheit for the 1st time last weekend and that is exactly what I was thinking!

The design is great. I love it. But man, I wished they had enclosed the central section around the fire pole. And if they had a baseplate extending far enough to park the entire truck on it. Maybe add some low walls like in a cutaway drawing, just to pretend the station goes back further.

While I agree that the engine is hollow, I think it's implied that that section is filled with water.

Thanks for the video, Jang! Looks nice, though if you double it up/mirrored the garages the fire truck wouldn't fit, from the looks of it. Also not enclosing the middle is odd. I feel like they put too many parts/plastic into construction of the hose-less fire truck...

I just wished the ladder extended like the older trucks did... Don't know why they discontinued the old ladder...

Was it me or has lego city minifig suddenly has an ear pandemic? Suddenly every other sets we have a hearing impaired individual. Be it the space mech figure , Fireman or even the collectable minifig dog groomer.

Nice review. I agree, this needs more depth. And I wish the bays were a little wider. Love the dog, gonna have to get one of those off Bricklink.

I like it. The shape is uniaue and it looks like a great project to expand and customize.

City has some interesting products, like this, for the first time in years. And the pricing is great. I am looking forward to my second Prison Island. That first one has so much stuff going on.

I love the look of the truck, it kinda represents the ones in Europe.

That's one of the most aestheticly pleasing fire stations LEGO has released in a while. I had. Understood from some reviewers that the fire engine didn't fit inside the hangar, as in it gets stuck and can't go inside.... I'm relieved to see that's not the case, with a bit of push it can indeed go inside, even if it sticks out in the back quite conspicuously

I reckon it's perfect for the age group. Enough playability for a kid, but it really beckons the more creative kid to extend it (the size of the station and the detail of the truck).

I like dynamic design and interesting look with touch of futuristic vibes. Lots of playing spaces and cool features! The only major issues are: small size of whole base and female firemen figures...

It reminds me of an amazing Duplo set I used to have.

I can see it now, someone in Lego HQ came up with that door mechanism and then they frantically tried thinking of an application for it and decided upon this half-baked Fire Station.

Great front, Great angles, poor decision to not give the engines a fully covered garage.. like many models of the past.

I really love the Truck design. Feels rugged and very Realistic to me (I guess because it looks very European) and the Color combination feels best to have with the vibrant yellow and it not being too much.

I will never stop complaining about the lack of minifigure hose reels on modern day fire sets until they get added back, other than that though it’s probably one of my favourite fire sets

The truck fits nicely in front of the two garages.

With this set, originally regretted its purpose due to a OK building experience and configuration (I disliked the gap between the silver and red wedges). After awhile it's grown on me due to how the garage doors are set up. Unlike the other older type of garage doors, these ones can have the potential to expand the doors length allowing for wider lego vehicles to be able to fit. With the set growing on me, I decided to include the station's facade in my Emergency HQ MOC (before it was just a police station/Jail). The garage doors alone have proven extremely useful in allowing for the storage of 8 wide vehicles with modifications. Unfortunately it looks like the fire department will have to accept less real estate than the Police station garage but at least I was able to make it seamlessly fit in my densely packed city.

Just mirror another build back to back, excellent foundation!

I really enjoyed looking at this set. It's nice and chunky, simple, but down to earth and "industrial" looking despite being modern. Strikes a really nice balance and tempts me to dip into Lego again and build a thicker truck.

Nice design, does feel a bit like a facade/flat compared to older fire stations. But pretty decent and at least some prints as well

I'm glad you raise the sticker issue repeatedly. They're not the end of the world, at least for experienced adults, but for the high prices Lego charges, only prints should ever be included.

I think this might be an underrated set. Not by you mind you. But a lot of people will say: "Another fire station!!?". But this is definitely better than the average. Lots to love about the fire station itself, like the garage doors and the office area, and also a great beefy fire engine. Also a very good price, finally!

Only thing with this set is that it would be nice if the Firetruck actually fit probably in the bays other wise great looking set

I've bought the set already when it was released, I'm an afol, city fire theme is my favourite theme, but also like others, where can I start with the set... bad points, as you stated, the depth of the bays, the open doorway living space on the first floor, and the fire ladder truck, disappointed with that. But I've a plan to moc this set to add more space, more bays, also to accommodate the airport fire truck set 60061-1, easy to do with the front doors being plate built. Thanks for the review.

The garage looks different from the fire station sets from previous years, 2023, 2019, 2004, 2013, and 2016. The garage doors are glass, with the number printed above the doors, while this year’s garage is made of black bricks, with numbers printed on the station door.

I have the 2010 fire station the garages are long enough to have the trucks entirely covered and it has more beds and even a tv.

Gonna buy two and build the second one mirrored so I can put them together. You think the Fire truck would fit if the garage was twice as long? Maybe if it had the water blaster attachment instead of the ladder.

It'd actually be pretty cool to expand off of that set and make it the whole fire station

I actually really like this set. It kind of reminds me of older style Lego sets and it feels like it has a lot of play value for kids. This plus the police prison and the new space stuff has been really good in my opinion.

Here is my solution to the garage space issue. Have the smaller, pickup style truck with the fire engine sets, and put more pieces toward a larger fire station (adding more rooms or even a secondary build to put out a fire), and have the long fire engine be the second most expensive set of the wave. I know it’s not to LEGO’s way of going about waves, even though they’ve done away with their own method for the most part anyway-at least where DC and Marvel and Star Wars are concerned-but I would like it if they did the fire station and hospital/ER sets as modular building sections, that connect to form a more “complete” play set. It doesn’t have to close up, but at least look more complete from the front face or even from two faces. That could solve the matter of open doorways or empty windowpanes.

Great approach with very cool know-how and prints. As AFoL, I would prefer a different setup: Station with port 1 full truck length (open at the backend okay), on it the control room as it is, but two beds room and an entertaiment room (pingpong or gaming) at the backside. Next to it, the alert skid as it is, behind a place to store the shoter option plus a hint of tools behind and on it the heli pad at the backside. Then an attachable add-on set with port 2 and the van. For the truck, I would move the compartments down to wheels high, move the water tanks forward and take free space for two back facings seat for the crew.

Right out of Red Alert! Love it.

I find the set to be very aesthetically pleasing. That being said I am probably not going to pick this up because it is a lot more play focused then what I am into an AFOL, and that's totally okay. Lego is meant to be a toy and this seems to be a great toy.

As always, great review Jang! Wondering whether I should get it. Got the 2023 one. That wasn't as solid as this one. However, the fire truck fit in! :-)

This feels like a 90s Lego set but with the cool techniques and pieces that we have nowadays and I love it so much. Only thing the garage stayed the same size as it would've been 30 years ago but the vehicles got huge so that part looks awful in my opinion

well, station has no depht, but those technik bricks still offer easy point to add some garage space and other rooms. of course its not part of set, but I think this offers easy option to add things

Love the unique look of this set. One thing I have to question is the choice for the fire pole, especially when there are dedicated pieces for it (I can’t remember the set number but I think it’s between 2015 and 2020) and has been used in a fire station set. Perhaps Lego discontinued the molds for them or maybe they forgot

This is probably one of the best fire sets of the 2020s so far, because the other sets really sucked.

As disappointing as that shallowness is at first glance, I actually like the back being open for play. The door function is really fun, and that firetruck is a good size, too!

Maybe it would be a great idea if LEGO were to make additional extension sets for us older LEGO fans so that it can be more full and expanded for those that want it. Just an idea.

The numbered garage doors remind me of something like Thunderbirds or Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, which honestly makes me wish for a theme involving more fantastical/sci-fi rescue vehicles.

I would edit the unused spot so you could place the dog and then see his head coming out behind the seat.

I don’t know why, but the fire truck is just really pleasing to me. I think the design and details look really good. Honestly might try and find just the truck for sale and redo the cab to be a 4 door crew cab or something.

I really enjoy the look of that station and truck, but it is a shame that they haven’t gone back to the 2013-15 (I don’t exactly remember the year) where you had the big fully enclosed garage fire stations that were the scale of Lego creator buildings

Awesome looking model, it looks so grounded. Shame the playability with the truck is a bit compromised.
