This is one of the best interviews I've had the pleasure of watching. I've paused it, returned to it, cried during it. Jane Fonda is one of those role models that really puts time and effort into studying, and DOING. At several times during this interview, it was clear that understanding a problem or investigating a subject is not enough. There has to be some kind of action involved. She shows she is searching, she is flawed, she doesn't have all the answers and is never willing to give up or be cynical. She really cares about herself and people, and is trying to evolve. Also, what a great interviewer, with marvelous, insightful questions. She was not afraid to "go there" and Ms. Fonda's small pauses show her commitment into answering her questions. I'm grateful to have found this gem.

Only if she lived in Hanoi. What a cheap snakey tramp who embraced the mass murder of 1.5 million South Vietnamese civilians after the war had ended. The only people who interview Her are women who spend half the interview fawning over Her and the other half throwing softball questions to Her. Her funeral will be huge because when you give the public something they want, they'll show up.

This is why we get to live beyond 60 if we are fortunate. Wisdom! We gain so much wisdom, but many celebrities most times dont share this side of their life. Compassion, wisdom, empathy, soulful. I noticed for the 1st time, she looks and had same mannerism as her dad Henry when she falls silent before answering a question. Spitting image of her dad. She looks to the side when thinking before answering. Jane u r truely an incredible human being!! Im so glad you found your happy self. I found my happy self in my 40's. And still continue to evolve. I shed my shame and guilt. So freeing!!! Happy happy happy!! ❤️😁

@@tranleha1495 So sorry that you're missing the point. I don't know anyone who still has the same views on the Vietnam war, and everything attached to it, today as they did those some-odd 50 years ago. She had strong convictions then and she was attacked by almost the entire country, yet she's never stopped growing and searching. Those were confusing times (quite like our actual times) and some people learned from all of that and most dived into the all-out consumerism that has brought us to this disastrous precipice which we find ourselves now. Jane has been open and honest. Few politicians and celebrities have her strength and courage. She is a student and a teacher.

I do not think women should be scared of getting old. After all, if a person loves you they will love you all the same even when you grow old and your body has lost in attraction and strenght. In fact, i think a person who truly loves will love even more whan the object of her feelings is becoming weaker and more vulnerable. There is pleny of beauty in old people and a love based only on the physical attraction of the young and beautiful is bound to fail ....

My mother is similar, but the talk about having taken 62 years of her life to finally feel whole and without a man. I say that’s just because you don’t have a libido and no longer no longer are hungry/motivated to want companionship with a man. You said at first you stayed in your daughter’s house when you separated from your husband, a daughter is family, a husband is family, why if nothing is terribly wrong (because no one is perfect) do you feel you need to break away from family. But you chose your husband (family) because he is man?
