It's definitely changed the landscape, but it's not an either/or. Think of it more like a spectrum where markets used to make 90% of the difference and now maybe they make 40-50% of the difference, w/ social media and other stuff that's less location-dependent doing a lot of the work. If markets didn't matter at all, the entire economy would be different. But at the same time, things have changed to an extent.

I pay attention to the NBA throughout the session but mostly lock in when the playoffs start.. They briefly talk about Brunson and the Knicks and how is Randall just a engage asset for them to trade away? Sabonis is considered a poor mans Jokic and Randel puts up identical if not better than Sabonis... I don't understand why he's just a disposable garbage letter...

Lakers do not have a championship caliber backcourt with DLo and Reeves, they do not have a championship coach and system, and they are missing probably 1 more 3D wing (Venderbilt can be that but was injured). Too many holes for LeBron to run it back and expect anything different, they do not have enough time to rebuild all that around him in the next 1-3 years. If he truly wants to win another ring, this is the only chance he has to leave and since he is a FA if he wants, he can go anywhere that a team is just missing that final piece of a great playmaker and consistent scorer. The Knicks, Cavs, and 76ers are all in that place. If he is serious about winning, he should leave LA. He doesn't have the time to try and start over w new coach and players there, but those other teams are established and just missing that final piece. LeBron can still provide elite playmaking and a consistent 20-25 points a game.
