Scottie Scheffler arrested before PGA Championship Round 2, WNBA must help Caitlin Clark | THE HERD

Спорт

Colin Cowherd reacts to Scottie Scheffler being arrested before the second round of the PGA Championship. In the WNBA, Caitlin Clark is off to a rough 0-2 start after playing the more experienced Connecticut Sun and New York Liberty. She finished with nine points, seven rebounds and six assists in her Indiana Fever home debut. Colin explains why the WNBA needs to do better to help Clark and further boost the league.

The problem with what he is talking about is all the people he named were actually great player's. Caitlyn is a propped up good player with a lot of flaws in her game. A sophomore guard that was 4 inches shorter than her shut her down in the championship game. Yes she shut her down , 11 points in three quarters while guarding her. Plus 4 turnovers. So I don't know why people thought professional women would not be able to do the same thing.

There’s only 12 teams in the WNBA so there’s only so much you can do with the schedule. Could they have traded out the Sun for the Storm? Yeah, but I’m not sure that would have mattered. Caitlin is going through an adjustment period, as all rookies across all sports do. The only people shocked by this are people that bought into this idea that she was going to immediately dominate the league. Those of us that watch the WNBA knew she would go through this. There’s only been a handful of rookies that have come into the W and immediately dominated and the one thing they mostly had in common was size. Candace Parker and Stewie came in at 6’4” and used their size to bully people as they refined their game. Caitlin doesn’t have the size/strength so it’s going to take her a minute to settle in. Ultimately, she’ll be fine but please have realistic expectations.
