Which Playoff LeBron Was Better?

Спорт

With the NBA Playoffs coming soon I would like to talk about the 2 most dominant playoff performances in LeBron's NBA career. 2009 Playoff LeBron and 2018 Playoff LeBron. These 2 playoff runs to me were the best in his career but the question is.... Which Playoff LeBron was Better?

I totally agree with you on 2009 and 2018 being his two best individual runs. I might add 2015, imagine if he had won. I think if were talking from a purely individual performance viewpoint 2009 was his best performance. He was putting up ridiculous numbers in an era where the average pace was like 85-90 + the 2000s defence. Thats why he had a 37 PER the entire run he was producing so much at such a low pace with limited spacing. However 2018 may be better because he managed to make the finals because his performance had a greater impact on winning. For example sweeping that 60 win raptors and beating the celtics in games 6 and 7 without his second best player Love whereas in 2009 his insane performances couldnt translate to win in the orlando series

Just because he has worse teammates doesnt make him better. 2013 he was still an athletic freak, he was smarter, he knew how to win, he was lethal from 3, AND consistent... and with lethal running mates his court vision was the best yet for him. he absolutely made it crystal clear who the best player by miles was in the entire world. People give Dwight Howard credit for 09 upset and rightfully so but throughout that 09 ECF Hedo, Michael Pietrus, Rashard Lewis and Rafer Alston were shooting out of their minds. Same thing happened in 2011 when Terry and JJ Barea went ape sh!t crazy. And in 2014 finals, Bellineli, Danny Green and Diaw went nuts. Then in 2015, Iggy shot weay above his 3Pt%. Role players and decent players randomly shooting way above their percentages and knocking down some outrageous clutch shots has been a massive story in Bron's legacy but no one talks about it.

We also have to keep in mind that bron was averaging 35 9 7 in the entire playoffs in the 2000s! An era known to be low scoring and low efficacy and 0 spacing. 0 spacing and all the defensive attention wasnt even done by anyone on the offensive end in the 2000s besides maybe shaq who was considered to be arguably the goat peak to put how great lebron was in perspective. With all that being said i think that makes 2009 lebron more impressive. Averaging 39 8 8 on a great defensive team and on the 4x dpoy who is one of the best rim protectors of all time with 0 spacing shouldnt be humanly possible if you think about it and doesnt make sense at all. 2018 Lebron was also amazing but at least he had some type of spacing so he can operate the offense with less pressure. Also 2009 lebron was a monster defensively and even in the playoffs and even finished 2nd in dpoy which no one even talks about

Thank you for mentioning young bron ! Forget the numbers for a second and watch him play basketball .. 2006 to like 14 or 15 lebron impacted every play while he was in the game on offense and defense .. older lebron learned how to manipulate stats to make it seem like he impacted every play but he wasn’t and he still has no impact on winning til this day even tho his numbers are insane in my opinion

Can anyone explain who exactly "Playoff Bron" beat in 2018? The Celtics without Kyrie and Hayward? I hope the people who're constantly praising this dude at least get paid for it.

2009 His his playoff peak but 12-14 Miami bron clears 2018 Bron. 2018 Bron so overrated. 2017 is a better year and even 2020 arguably

The best run was when he folded like a beach chair against Dallas in the 4th quarter of the finals in 3 straight games with 16 points a game average. Oh guarded by a bench player 😂 Schooled him.

Good riddance of LeBalco James and two seasons of insane free throw disparity. Refs tried their best. The nuggets did it, hell yeah. Now the next scapegoat is Darvin Ham.
