Big Pre-carves are a pretty major thing in longboard sliding, that might help

I’m a newbie to the surf skate scene. And a middle-aged man at that! Your video really helped me to figure out how to slide. Working on it.

@@PeterLarsenJr The beautiful thing about surf skating is that you can pretty much do it anywhere, you don’t need to live near the beach and it’s super affordable. I know you’ll get it down real quick! Enjoy the carve man!

Broooo the slides around 4:45 were definitely it somethin clicked so good there. Also seeing how quickly all the pieces came together at the park on that bank was so damn cool bro like damn you Got those down so clean 🔥🔥🔥

Hmmm... yup they definitely get pretty grippy hahaha. My current set up is on some smaller wheels and it slides like butter. What set up do you use?

@@comfortablylost6459 I have a YOW Christianson with Merakie S5 trucks with skull skate 66mm 80a. I find them to be a good balance between grip and slide.

You should try squatting more or coming from the squatting stance. You’re a bit too high to really hold it.
