Learning English Requires Patience! 🐢🐇⏳
Learning English takes time and patience. There are so many words, rules, and unique phrases. Some learners might find it hard to understand advanced sentences, pronunciation, and grammar. But, remember, learning slowly and methodically is actually good. It helps you really get the basics, which is important for your learning.
In this English lesson I'll encourage you to learn at a steady pace, and at the same time I'll teach you 7 very common English sayings and phrases about this approach to a task. You'll learn the meaning of the following sayings and phrases:
Slow and steady wins the race.
Cross your t's and dot you i's.
Haste makes waste!
Do it slowly but surely.
Rome wasn't built in a day.
Measure twice, cut once.
Good things come to those who wait.
Just remember, being patient is key. You'll need to keep practicing, even when it feels hard. Being patient and practicing regularly will make learning English a good experience.
I hope you enjoyed this English lesson. Have a great day!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

"Rome wasn't built in a day, "Measure twice, cut once" So many similar expressions in Russian: "Москва не сразу строилась", " Семь раз отмерь, один раз отрежь" ...All this common world wisdom makes many linguists believe in the existence of a proto language and a big world community speaking it back in the days😎 Thank you, Bob, and don't make haste living! In general, every case requires patience, whatever it was.For example, playing the piano or guitar. When I was bad at listening and speaking, actually, zero, and thank to patience and diligence, I finally was able to improve it. Yet again, I realize that patience is a very important skill everywhere.

Thank you for the lesson. I do like very much sayings and idiomas. In Spanish there are similar sayings. For instance "Zamora no se conquistó en una hora" (Zamora was not conquered in an hour), means the same that Rome wasn't built in a day.
"You do not just wake up and become the butterfly" -Growth is a process. by Rupi Kaur the Canadian poet. That's so true. I'm not a patient girl. Good morning, Bob. When I stumble in my English learning journey and get stuck, I always think of the lesson where you said that "learning a language isn't a sprint, it's a marathon" and based on my experiences, I can only agree with you. I think patience is one of the most important elements in anything you want to learn and also the most difficult thing to master, because I have to honestly admit that I'm not always good at it either. (As you know 😉.) Anyways, thank you for the new phrases and especially for the encouraging words and the motivation boost ❤️. Hey Bob, what a nice Video 😊 many thanks for reminding us to be patient with ourselves 💞 Yes, it is very important not to hurry and take a step back from time to time. Unfortunatelly because of the wrong believes in ourselves which we learn from childhood it is very hard to learn to be patient with ourselves. So most think "I can not do it" or "I will fail", because we hear that several times in our childhood. Think about girls if they want to climb a wall. It is only one example. The grown up tell the girl to be careful, that this is very heavy, that she might fall down or similar. Also to hurry up. How often does a child hear "hurry up" or "you are too slow" or similar? Anyway, therefore it is so highly important that we get a reminder that we have THE RIGHT 😉 to be patient with ourselves ✨🍀✨
