I made steamed buns a while ago and the pleating isn't to hard, the twisting part to seal the bun was the most difficult for me .

I made them yesterday, that's definitely true. I made them super ugly trying to seal them but they were still super delicious so I'm not mad about it 😊

Those pleats are fine art.

I got so obsessed with making these I literally practiced this technique with my daughter’s PlayDohs and squish mellows.

I envy folks that can do this with such ease and perfection. Unfortunately, I'm all thumbs and can never make beautiful buns. But they still taste great.😉

These are delicious and freeze for 17 years. It's worth learning to pinch/pleat - but they can be folded over, too.
