Interesting as usual. By the way, when Employee 4 said "I don't think I have the rights" he, as an IT guy, could have meant that his user permissions on the server in question did not allow him to delete the security camera recording. Referring the person making the request to someone up the IT food chain supports that interpretation. This is admittedly incidental to the main case of the conspiracy to obstruct.

​@@robertherron3002 Or that Mar-a-lago IT are not structured so that every level 2 help-desk tech has server root access, and the guy Nauta was talking to didn't actually have keys to the camera server. Could he have gotten those keys? Yeah, probably, given a lengthy paper trail and a couple of days to tell everyone in the department that they were deleting camera footage, the archival tapes and the off-site backup. Even then, deleting something like that is generally the opposite of the normal IT instinct to back everything up in triplicate.

The worrying part is what was he going to do with the Classified Material

This will pass into the wind, but when an IT guy talks about "rights", they might mean actual, technical, permissions. As in, the server lives somewhere he can't get to to physically destroy it, so he would have to have permissions to delete data, and he didn't. He might not be being legal or moral, he was maybe trying to express the fact that he COULDN'T. But his boss might.

Good things happen when good people stand up for what is right and don't look the other way.
