Yeah, watching news of him, reading about what he's doing, just any information on the moron is very depressing and reminds me of when the news had gone crazy overboard covering the Iraq war back in the early 2000s. It was overwhelming to the point where people started to tune out and instead of staying informed with events chose to be ignorant of it. I know some will criticize that -- there are people who would force feed us a steady 24/7 stream of cable news because "it's good for you". But I think it's something we do to protect our mental well being. A person can only take so much high-octane worry-fuel. Especially when there's not shit to be done about it except in the very long term. I mean, we can't just walk into the White House and place the guy under citizen's arrest for endangering many millions of lives or damaging their future, or just generally doing a shit job with the entire country. We have to wait for the officials to act -- ostensibly based on our wishes but we know the likelihood of that. So instead we just have to bide our time and either suffer through 4 years of damage or wait for him to do so much harm that the other branches of government are forced out of their compliant stupor and actually _do_ something.

kate Ng I assume he meant something like "rate of GDP growth", but he don't word so good. It's actually around 3% at last count, which is on the low side but not terrible, it was negative briefly back around the 2008 recession.
