Hi Stu, for the blink of an eye, you can see at 16:37 - not far from u - a black pig running away through the dry grass. The pig could be the one, you shot at, but u got it at 18:34 without help of a dog. Damned good Job, Dude ! P.S.: This area looks like a real pig eldorado with many big trails. Best wishes from the German Pig Killa (GPK)

I’m very happy for the land to get rain, but it makes for tough hunting! Those little pigs are so small in that grass that you have to actually walk up on them to flush them and they quickly disappear! I have no fear that they’ll be bigger and you will thin them out later!

Awesome you two doing it again. Nothing like a son hunting with his Dad, nothing! Good video. Getting rain making it green is fantastic but the tall grass puts a dampener on seeing the pigs. Are you having trouble getting ammo there? It's hard to find but getting some better. The bloody damn costs are nothing short of damn thievery. Three and four hundred % markup. I haven't needed any and I won't pay thieving damn prices till I absolutely have to. 👍👍🐗

I reckon mate it is gold being out with the old man. I reload the 30/06 so I'm rarely buying ammo. Having said that I did buy some 30/30 and 30/06 hog hammer only cause I liked the picture on the packet and the silver cases, ha. Horsley gun shop so I think about 40 bucks per pack of 20. The way I justify it is $2 for the opportunity of a running head shot.....yeah I'll pay $2 for a crack at that.

Just saying here more on ammo. The three biggest ammo manufacturers here on KZread posts claim ( all together) they are running 24-7-365. These three combined are shipping over 63 MILLION rounds a week. This does not include some smaller manufacturers that make between 100 and 400 THOUSAND a week each. There's about 8 of these. Not one of the CEO's in these videos will say how much of that production is going to military contracts or to other countries by contract. Now if you're a pro competition grade shooter they get all they want naturally being sponsored by a big gun maker & ammo company. Here in Amarillo for months, almost a year, any caliber comes in little shipments to even places like Academy Sports. Just gone off on a bloody rant here is all. I really hope there's no problem there. I know your gun ownership laws are more stringent there and probably just a small per cent of gun owners now. AnywY 👍👍. Stay well the both of AND your loved ones

Thanks for the feedback mate. There is a lot of ammo getting shot off around the world, wow. In Australia ammo is readily available for the run of the mill stuff like 22s; 22 magnum; 222; 223; 243; 270; 308. However, depending where you are in Australia ie capital city (normally all cal ammo available) to outback Australia where there are no gun shops but places like garages or drive-in bottle shops sell limited supplies of ammo mainly the popular 223; 270; 30/30and 308. I have run out of 30/06 ammo in the past one weekend where we shot 291 pigs in 1 x day. I went to town and they were out of 30/06! Very rarely do I run out of ammo hunting as I make most shots count and I take around 100 of each cal so if I shoot that off then I've had a good weekend and time to go fishing, ha. My turn to ramble on.

Wrong kind of firearm. You need a shotgun with buckshot traveling on that 4 wheeler. You could've shot a bunch of hogs by now. Hard to shoot those hogs with them running through that high grass.
