Although pigs can’t see as much detail as other animals, they can definitely spot movement and color. That bright blue shirt definitely made it more of a challenge.

The powder blue shirt was epic! I was thinkin’: this guy’s sooo good he’s gonna throw 2 quarts of challenge in the mix just to give the pigs an advantage! :) I was bummed the vid ended w/o finding the black one! It was running with the arrow almost fully through it! Entertaining! :) (but yes, cdve been shorter).

On the other hand, it also prooves that these feral pigs don’t suppose any challenge to an experienced hunter, as you can easily get to shooting distance wearing a light blue t shirt and sitting on plain sight with no coverage. Try approaching a wild european boar dressed like that and you’ll see just how much smarter they are compared to these pigs, they’ll spot you from a mile away. Sorry for bad english

  • @mattarce

The Blue shirt is smart. Pigs can't see blue. Wearing camo with pigs is a waste of money. You can wear blue everything and the pig can't see you. You can easily look this up.

Interesting how these guys look like they're barely 10 yds away, closer than I've even been able to get... and talking? I don't think you guys wanted to kill anything. True? P.S. Jumped to the end before leaving, only to see you (with a tiny kid) going in after a wounded boar with no gun at the ready? Apparently you've never been knocked off your feet by a pig? Amazes me when I see younger men show lack of respect for what wild animals can do to a human. Interesting vid to be sure.

Shooting a wild boar or pig with a bow and arrow, is like shooting them with a bow and arrow with suction cups. Love how you tried to sneak up on them, but booked away when you dropped to your knees to aim and farted.

It’s always best to kill as many small ones as you can on the first or second day. Because you are essentially killing from 300 to 500 pigs over the next two years. When you kill the old ones first their breeding is pretty much over and you’re not accomplishing that much with the little ones are prolific pig makers and taking them out first Pays huge benefits.

Boars that size get away from the best of us all the time. I personally don't feel good about recovery if they make it out of sight, I prefer immediately chasing them after the shot. Might seem foolish but my 3 biggest boar were killed with an arrow under several yards after being shot previously in the lungs, they were plenty alive and mad at the time still.

I like it when the farmers invite hunters to there farms when hogs are in the process of destroying crops. Multiple hunters with AR 15s with IR scopes pick them off. They even take them out while in full gallop. I think their are companies that bring hunters to the farms for a fee. All equipment is provided by the company. I would like to attend one.
