is that a cellphone on top of your camera? If so, what is it there for?

It is! I was originally planning to record my camera screen (the phone is plugged into a device called the SeeMo by Accsoon), but I forgot I was using one of my DSLR cams and not my mirrorless, so there wasn’t anything to record. I could have shot in Live View and recorded that, but I didn’t bring any extra camera batteries with me, so I didn’t want to drain the batteries shooting in Live View.

The rig for the cell phone ?
