    lol... we have similar Dreams... I've been doing High End Paint Jobs Plus Airbrushing Murals and Auto Body and Welding now for 43 years... back in 1979 my Dad built a 48ft x100ft Big Rig Truck Shop, at age 13 I started Fixing and Painting on the Trucks, I added a 40ft x62ft Auto Body Shop to my Dads Shop in 2006... Always wanted to build a Lamborghini Countach Kit Car... Right Now in 2022 I'm starting to build my own designed "EARTH ROAMER" 4x4 Boxes to fit the 6.6ft and 8ft 4x4 trucks on the roads today... they will be CANADIAN Built so SUPER STRONG and GOOD for Minus -40... Once I set up and get my little Factory operational with my Nephews & Nieces and my Daughter... I want to start on my own Design of a Lamborghini Countach, Longer and Wider than org, 20in Tires (because 15in are harder and harder to get) using my Artistic Design to stay retro but add to the orginal design of the Countach... Enjoyed the Videos 1-14... Thanks from ALBERTA CANADA

    I really think you should try to find backers for a Countach kit, that is affordable because there is a market out there for it and I for one would be a buyer. please please continue!

    I would like to, and there are discussions regarding possibles backers, but at the moment it's just not affordable for me on my own. If I can get over 100K subs, then I think the Countach build maybe back on. I'd have to start again because I have no idea where my original chassis has gone. :(

    Thanks SilverCreekMotors, yes I would have to agree with you, the worlds most amazing car is the Countach, and I really wanted to finish this project, but it was taken out of my hands. I don't even know where the car is now, the last I heard it was up for sale on eBay, a couple of years ago. It's taken since then for me to "re-group" over the financial loss, and try again with my own project. I may explain more in later episodes, but I don't like to show my "dirty washing" in public, if you know what I mean. Oh well, let's see if I can finish the Cerberus project, this time I don't have any partners who can tip the table over. :)

    Greetings from the state of Arkansas in the U.S.A. I understand that it does take a lot of setbacks, but if you don't have the resources or the money to do it, you just don't have the resources or anything else to go on, you pretty much have come to a crossroad where you can go no further, with either money or resources. The Countach is one of my favorite cars since I was a kid, and there is even 3 Transformers G1 series that were based on the Lamborghini design, Sideswipe, the red Lamborghini, and not the movie one, Sunstreaker, the yellow one, and Red Alert, the White one with the red stripe down the center of it, and was a fire chief car in the G1 series. Good luck with your upcoming endeavors.

    There was one thing I forgot to ask, do you know how hard it is to road registrar a kit car ?

  • @ProjectSupercar

    @ProjectSupercar

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes, and it is very difficult. Every country is different, and because I'm in the UK, I have to deal with the IVA (Individual Vehicle Approval). And because these "lovely" bureaucrats change the rules every year, it's almost impossible to keep up, plus some of the tests are a bit vague. These include using British standard parts, rivet spacing, mirror size, the use of captive nuts, seat belt height, etc. The best thing I can suggest is get in contact with your local testing station, and before building asking them advice on the correct way to do it as you build. It is a pain, but if you get familiar with some one at the IVA station by name, and follow their advice, then your car should pass. You also need to get a VIN number from K and R Swansea first.

    Yes I have looked at a Audi v10 but a little pricey but a good upgrade in the future. I like many others as a kid had a picture up of the car up on the bedroom wall but never thought it be possible to have one. Now I can’t ride off road bikes any more the hobby has to go in a different direction and now the dream is at the point of reality, exciting times for me are a head and I’m just researching as much as possible. I have to say you was making the original builders of the car look like amateurs you really was. I just hope when it’s my time I can do as good as a job as you did. Your documentary of building the car is a really big help and be very proud of your self 👍

    @@Spoonersoutings Thanks buddy, yeah the V10 isn't cheap. Actually building a Lamborghini replica isn't either. It would be a tough call to build a good one for less than £30,000 here in the UK, maybe 50K US. That's if you do most of the work yourself. I don't know about the Prova chassis, but the one I started with, which was a Mirage 2, was under developed, and needed quite a lot of extra bracing to strengthen it up. You may want to look into that before you part with any cash. ;)

    True, I suggested an Audi V8 with a 6 speed to the owner of the original kit, but he'd put too much money into the Rover V8 and Renault box before I took on the project for him. The EVO chassis following this was supposed to run a V10.
