I love cars, especially Supercars, and although there’s many to choose from, I’ve always had a dream to build my own. So some years ago I thought I’d make my dream reality and I started to build my own Supercar from scratch.
Initially the idea was to just build my own unique car, but over time I decided to try and develop it into a possible kitcar, so others could build their own, if they wished.
I understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if others wanted to build their own car using my kit, then they would more than likely want to make changes. With this in mind I decided to design my car to be modular so it would be easy to modify and change.
The journey hasn’t been an easy one, as you’ll find out.
I hope you enjoy following along, and see if I can finish it. There are many hurdles I have to cross before I can. If you think you can help, then you’re more than welcome to get in touch.

Ah, a trike that's *_not_* a Guzzi Ercole 500 *_MotoCarro_*
I’ve seen a lot of videos on this issue and this is the best!!! Clear instructions and good close-ups to show exactly what has to be done. Tk u!
Yep, some 'fools' have been known to unwittingly use brake fluid as jack oil, then the standard idiot has been known to use engine oil, but the classic miser idiot has been known to use cooking oil😆 goodbye seals ! All oils are not the same use, clue is on the label. Gaz UK.
Thinking about making some new videos soon? I was thinking because of the good weather lately.
Time and money is the problem. I may do a few videos in the new year, as I still have to pull the engine out. But the KZread channel is not making anything, which I needed to pay for the next part of the build.
@@ProjectSupercar Alright, i can't wait atleast! hopefully you come home one day to a suitcase full of cash laying on your bed😅
@@alberttorns Now that would be handy. ;)
Mate . Always tried to follow you. What's going on.
Sadly time and money ran out. I was hoping the KZread channel could fund this build, but the algorithm wasn't kind to my channel. Plus I've been working on another project that is taking up all of my time at the moment, however I do intend to get back to this project one day, perhaps in the new year. I still have half a car in my garage, and that V6 needs pulling, so I'll probably film that and give everyone an update.
This is the only video that actually shows a repair rather than taping a piece of plastic on and calling it a ‘repair’. I managed to pry the entire mechanism open and thread in a M3 screw to the steel piece.
nice DIY!
I have a sealey 1250cx jack v1. No visible leaks, pumps up ok and holds load. If you undo the release valve slighty it drops immediately and fast. Do you have any ideas on whats wrong?
Same as mine. Need that answer too !! Anyone ?
Check the spring and ball bearing. You could have a broken spring, damaged ball bearing or contaminant in the mechanism.
One thing you forgot to mention is the bolt behind the windshield wiper arms behind a rubber grommet
Audi a6 2013 prestige got tottaled removing the carpet is it a diy? I could do to swap in my replacement vehicle same year
Yes it's DIY, but you have to take out the interior first.
I now own the sister car to this & have worked on this car to replace the badges with genuine ones on the nose & the tail had fallen off the rear black Cavillino horse & it was slightly lopsided so I have fixed all of that. He may be open to offers of £25,000 if anyone’s interested as he’s had it 7 years now, but anything less than that he’ll keep it. Newly built from Dave Jones Kitcars before they got a cease & desist by Ferrari after just 4 builds they were £30,000. His has the Toyota 3L V6, mine the 3.5L. So they’ll easily keep up & beat a 308 or 328 & it’s Toyota bills. I absolutely adore mine & have it uploaded on my channel if you’d like to view it
Nice car, I've checked out your channel, put your video in my watch later list. ;)
@@ProjectSupercar 🙂
This is exactly the video I needed. I am about to gut my own Avant to go racing, and this will be my guide! Thank you for doing this!
O wings
Who made your windscreen? Or did you make it?
It's not my car, I just made the video.
Since I am here Let me share some infos: There are 2 types of rotation measuring method used in a car... Rubber based magnetic encoders disc.. Metal tooth based encoder disc... Tooth based encoder sensor creates it own magnetic field and measures the magnetic field change when there is a metal part or holo part in the way... Rubber based magnetic sensors measure the magnetic field desnity and polarity of magnetic field... They are different technologies and sensors which they don't mix... These encoder technologies are used in Wheel speed/crackshaft/transmission applications... So not only your speedometer depends on it also your rev meter also depends on these discs and sensors...
How do you get the speedomoter work if you don't have wheelspeed sensors and ABS ?
The speed sensor is in the gearbox.
I want one. Same color. can't afford it right now, but when I can, I want one.
Very cool car, hope you get one, one day.
Checked reg on DVLA and nothing comes up?
Very strange. Hmmm...
I seem to be the only person bothered by it, but I found an otherwise great, informative video ruined by the distracting and unnecessary music .
How many bolts hold the pedal box ?? I’m stuck , trying to get the heater matrix radiator but the brake switch is the way , so the idea is to get the pedal box out and I will have room .any help will be much appreciated
Hello and thank you very much for this very detailed (and full of humour) video 😂. First, sorry for my English which is not my mother tongue. I could not repair the hook of the belt, as you show, as it broke fully at the point where we have the button closing the hook when it goes back into its emplacement. So I ordered one as a spare part. However, my problem is that when I tried to remove the remaining part of the hook, the whole arm came to me 😢. It will be therefore easy to clip the new hook to it, but I am wondering how to put back the whole arm in its emplacement? I understand that there is a kind of toothed wheel moving the arm forth and back. What do you recommend? Is it better to present the arm in the open position (as if it is presenting the belt), and then wait for the toothed wheel to bring it back? Or push it back inside in the closed position? Another point is that this arm is not straight. It is slightly bent. Should it be really straight, as this part of the car is slightly curved here... So, sorry for all these questions, but I would like to avoid making additional mistakes 🙄. I hope you can give some advice. All the best, knarf from France 🇨🇵😉
Sorry, but I did this repair a few years ago, and I no longer own the car, so I can't really advise you.
😍
Fantastic. Thank you!!!😊
Hi can u help me I have same jack I order many not same size what size that one my Jack same 😂plz

Nice car
This channel deserves so many more views
Thanks, I agree. ;)
Ill eat my words , some cases it takes years before the right audience discovers your videos. Please keep making more @@ProjectSupercar
Great video, thank you 👍
I'm an ex fashion designer. I'd like to design something else. If you want to build a sports car, I can design the body for you, for free. I'm in the process of sketching it. Then you could sell it (?), or keep it for yourself.
I’m considering getting one yet wondering if it can be registered in Japan
For future ref the loom unclips from kick wells and whole dashbar, loom and blower come out as 1 unit
I’d like to add that my Jack requires an o-ring with a 3.5mm cross section area. You used a 4mm, which is most probably why you had such a hard time fitting it, and replacing the plunger. 3.5 CS x 16mm I.D O-ring if you want to do a search
What is the song's title
I took about 15 screenshots. Your videos are so informative and educational. You are a true resource. Please keep that up! Amazing content for someone who is making a wooden car!!
I know this is old but any chance your still on? If so I would very much like to speak with you. Thank you. Very nice chassis. Simple yet fully functioning for all needs. Very well designed for a realistic replica yet not over board. Well designed.
Thanks, yes this project is over, but I may start a new one if time and funds allow.
I am building one and was wondering if there is any chance you have a design sheet or anything with measurements. Im having a hard time finding any. I have a Strickland body but want to do my own chassis. Thank you for your time any help is greatly appreciated.
Sadly not, if I still had access to this chassis, I'd take a load of measurements for you. In fact I'm looking for a set of measurements myself for my "EVO" chassis I'm planning.@@fenderveal7339
@@ProjectSupercar well it was worth asking. Thank you. Those that have this info are not big on sharing. So once I get all the info I'm posting it for all to see. I have a list for the countach parts. From the real providers. Fiat , alpha romeo, Cortina, Metcedes ect on all the small parts. And I had seen one guy asking if anyone knew where to find the lambo parts like door catches and latches and lights and such. So I put up that list for him. I got my butt jumped by every parts sellers on the site. Why did you yell everyone that info? You ruined my sales and on and on. So apparently its all supposed to be only for a certain group to know. And I'm not one if them. Lol
Athing of beauty is a joy for ever!!do the moulds still exist?:10 9 2023
Thank you this helped me so much!!!!
It looks real 🇿🇦
🇿🇦👍
just did mine and glad to see you made the same mistake i did. the plunger you removed to replace the seal is fitted backwards, the open slot points towards the front. on mine occationly when the handle is fully upright the plunger gets stuck and twisted. turned it around 180deg and it fixed the issue. worth checking yours. cheers
Why did you stop man,i really want to see you finish this!
Yes, I want to finish it, but sadly lack the funding. I was hoping the channel could help, but it hasn't.
Nice car
I think you are wrong
Thanks. So the spring is not going back right ?
Correct.
I don't know if it makes any difference but you put that plunger in backwards. At the beginning of you video the plunger opening is facing the front stationary wheels. At the end. The plunger opening is facing the back mobile wheels.
tHEY ALWAYS GET THE WHEEL DIA. WRONG. TO SMALL. OTHERWISE LOOKS GOOD.
Looks like Sealey 3000CXD. I have small leak from main piston. I found that they sell full seals kit (I'm just not sure which version I have) I wonder if anyone replaced main piston seal(s) if there is anything to be aware of...
Yep and took me 10yrs to complete. I sold it to Chris Fellows who invested in the original project. Has V8 short block and it doesn’t feel like a kit car to drive. I adored this car so glad Chris is also a great friend and I will still see it and know that it is in expert hands.
