We need a MX201 with carbon/stiff sole

Great video. I sent measurements to Lake (112.86 mm wide x 258.24 mm length). They recommended size 41.5 for MX201. Does this sound correct to you? I normally take size 44-45 (10.5). Are the MX201 so much volume that i can down size?

I have the CX 201 for road, how does MX 201 compare for gravel riding?

I would love to know this too. I think mx are not stiff enough. You can't have MTB and gravel shoe in one

How far behind the first metatarsal do you place the cleat as a starting point? I can get the cleat back at the fifth metatarsal in these shoes, do you recommend that?

Put one finger on the 1st and one on the 5th draw a diagonal line back from the 1st and put the MIDDLE of the cleat in line longitudinally with the middle of the diagonal line. Email me if you have more questions on that it sometimes helps with images. contact@edinburghbikefitting.com

169 or 201 is better?

169 and 201 share many traits - the 201 is more ventilated and has a boa lace instead of a tie - they share the same fit etc

Some of us have extra wide feet. I'm betting that this so-called wide shoe would squish my feet and chafe my toes. You don't mention what width you wear (or should wear). I have some older "wide" Lake shoes and they're uncomfortable. It's sad that this modestly wide shoe is all the industry offers.
