Develop an urban, wild land interface and maintain it or you will likely burn again. Had you had and maintained a proper interface area you would probably never have burned. Do better !
Please keep the Updates coming. For those of us on the Mainland, yours is the best way we can keep updated on the progress. For those who are trying to shut down these videos; please do not encourage that as there are indeed those of us who are not local that are interested in your recovery and that of your community, culture, and traditions. I'm born and raised on Maui. I don't have the heart or want to drive to Lahaina to rubber neck. In my opinion it is disrespectful. I appreciate very much what you are doing for our Maui community and the World. Bringing awareness to the destructive nature of fire and allowing people like myself to see the magnitude of loss our beloved Lahaina endured. I'm happy to see the progress that has been made to clean up peoples properties so that they can have some measure of peace and hope. Thank you so much!

We lived on the Lahaina side before the fires and were in contract to buy a Front Street home, but we ended up buying on the south side. We have not been to Lahaina side since the fires. We don’t know if we ever will. So sad. Just as bad is that our Failed Fire & Police Chiefs are still collecting their salary for failing to do anything, no planning, no preparation, not a damn thing for the approaching high wind, fire warnings. We are now paying the price for the failures of our Public Safety Chiefs. Lahaina Strong.

Keep posting. My granddaugher and 2 kids lost everything. MY daughter's house is right on the edge. Two house up from hers burned to the ground and a couple behind her. I can sometimes see her house in your videos. Her husband is working in the burn zone with the big excavators. My other daughter lives in Kula and there is not as much information coming from there. So I appreciate your updates because they give me hope as I live on Molokai. The news gives updates but the videos are priceless because a picture is worth 1000 words. For those trying to take them down, awe.
Jesse - thanks so very much for helping to keep Lahaina alive, and to further the hopefulness that Lahaina will be rebuilt as close to what it was as possible. I was the very first to purchase my condo at Lahaina Shores in 1973 - before it was actually built, and it's been my home away from home for 51 years now. There is no place like Lahaina on God's green earth. We all have to help the rebuild!

I find these reports extremely respectful. I live in congested NJ and never had a chance to go to Hawaii, but this fire was so heartbreaking and I’ve watched your videos. Yes, it is hard to look at them. Sadly, things are in the news and then pass out of the news and people’s attention. But there must be many many people like me who care very much about what has happened here, and keep all of you in our hearts. All my best to you.
As someone who does not live in Hawaii, I appreciate your updates after the Lahaina fires. Those fires hit the day after I had made reservations for my first Hawaii vacation ever. I had considered cancelling my vacation plans knowing there was much healing and recovery needed for the community. But after watching your videos, I made the choice to continue with my Maui vacation in hopes it would help support the economy. We fell in love with Maui while still respecting the Lahaina community. We felt this was a one and done trip to Hawaii, but our hearts tell us we have to go back, so I really appreciate the updates. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

10000% you need to keep doing this, in NO WAY should this offend someone. it's straight facts and reporting. no 'theories' or 'govt bashing' etc. we stayed puamana for many years the last few years, so we appreciate the updates and our hearts go out to the people and residents and ohana in lahaina and Maui.
Jesse, it's clear to me you've always been genuine, and I regret that a few individuals see it differently. Your intentions are pure, and your kind-hearted nature is evident. For many of us, without direct access to the burn zone, your updates have been invaluable.
Please keep doing your flyovers! It is my earnest hope that the people who lived in Lahaina before the fire are given the help they need to be able to rebuild, and that big developers are not allowed to move in and take over and build yet another fake Hawaii in its place. It is too easy for the world to forget and move along. You are not only providing welcome updates, you are documenting an important piece of history. Thank you!
I’m so grateful for your videos. I’m part of the wildfire support for survivors for the last 6 months. It’s amazing to see the results of my work and makes me feel so happy. Maui has been my home for 25 years. Mahalo for taking the time to do this. Aloha ❤

Thank you for great work you do. I flew my drone there in March 2023, and I watch your videos from time to time to see how things are. To answer your question - this video gathered 80K views in just 10 days, it shows us that people need your videos. Also, please publish your videos in 4K, it will be even more valuable and informative.
Jesse, Please do not allow anyone to remove these videos. Our family went to Maui on November 28, of 2021 for my Son's and Daughter in Law's wedding held at Olawalu on December 8, 2021. Even though it turned out to be a stormy night with some damage and significant flooding in Kihei, and some storm damage and minor flooding in Lahaina Town, that day was the most beautiful. That week we stayed at Lahaina Shores, and while we were there, it was filled with trips all around the Lahaina Town, from Kapalua, to Kaanapali and Red Hill with great food stops including Cheeseburger, Merriman's, and several places including Kimo's and the harbor with a trip on the Trilogy V with Capt. Turtle. So Lahaina and Maui are close to our hearts and for our Son. They went to Maui once since the fire, and said it was not the same, staying in Wailea. We miss the old Lahaina Town and want to see it come back, so your videos really help keep it alive. Don't give up. Mr. and Mrs. W, Houston TX.
I understand that seeing this reminds people of the tremendous loss in Lahaina of homes and family members, but for those of us who aren't there now this gives us information to know how our home is doing. Please allow Jesse to continue to do this updates for us he has no ill intent he's just sharing that Maui is starting to recover and that there is hope so please don't make it hard for him to give updates to us. Love and Aloha to everyone and Thank you Jesse for all the effort you've put into keeping us updated.
Jesse - Lahaina is my wife’s hometown. Her father and family grew up there. PLEASE continue the videos! Us mainlanders want to see how Lahaina is recovering. Thank you for your good work.
Your informational update videos are so professionally and respectfully done! They have the added effect of providing awareness and eliminate the need for human nature lookie loos negatively or disrespectfully visiting the impacted areas in person. You are providing a great service to the world, and more importantly, to Lahaina and it’s impacted residents and businesses. Mahalo
Please continue your videos. Because of your videos, our family donates time and funds to support Maui and the residents. Family has flown to Maui just to donate their time to help support Maui. Your videos document the strength of the community in tragic times. And the determination to regain their life and heritage. I personally laud your efforts and all citizens of Maui. Thank you so much.

Hi Jesse, I want to thank you for doing these videos. We are a family in Laguna Niguel, CA and have been forever visitors to this area of Maui and always stayed in Napili Bay since 1977. Don't worry about that vocal minority 👍 the fact that you're keeping this in the public eye is valuable.
Jesse you are recording an historical event. My heart goes to all of those who have suffered loss. Your videos are documenting history. Please don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’ve stayed in Lahaina and cherished those memories for years. It’s truly a special place.

We need voices like yours to have a true feel of what's going on. You are doing the community a great benefit, and you are not hurting anyone who are in right mind. Keep the updates coming, and thank you for what you have done!
I can’t begin to understand all the feelings and grief that the Lahaina residents are still experiencing ,but it does my heart good to see my favorite place on earth coming back to life. I hope you’ll continue to make your videos. Thank you🌺

It's very important for you to continue to your updates. It's encouraging to know that redevelopment is being done and the town is being restored. People from around the world who have visited Maui truly do care about the residents and their island.
I miss Lahaina and please continue to show the progress being made in Maui. I look forward to returning one day. Thank you.
I am only a person who visits Maui every year; so I don't know how I would feel about the videos if I lost my job and home in this horrible fire. I think they are great videos and it keeps us connected and updated which gives us more hope for those who are still suffering. My opinion is the videos are fantastic!
Thanks so much for these videos. We have been coming to Maui from Ohio for 40 years. Our last visit was April 2023 before the fires. Your videos have helped us to decide to come back in September. Maui and the Kaanapali area are near to our hearts. Keep the videos coming. ❤🙏

Thank you from all of us for your excellent work.
I was blessed to have visited Maui twice, and very much appreciate your videos. I realize how special Maui was AND is and how devastating the fires were/are. I don't know if I'll ever get to see Maui again, but - in my own way - I feel the pain. Not the pain of those who have lost loved ones - oh no - but things should be done that are not, and things have been done that are very troubling. There were "other" realtors that were posting here, with "questionable" opinions. Your postings have been very respectful. After all is said and done, Maui is still "No Ka Oi".
It sure is a reminder how far that fire spread. It’s mind boggling. The damage and loss is unbelievable. Hard to believe it’s been 9 months..😳
We were in Lahaina in 2016 which seems only like yesterday. Shopping by the banian tree and enjoying the spirit of the town. Fires were devastating and broke our heart and we need your videos to help rejoy. We will be back eventually. Thank you for the updates.
My wife and I are from Baltimore and we were in Lahaina last May. We appreciate your efforts to provide these factual updates and super drone coverage of the recovery process. Keep up the Good work! Than You!
We have visited Maui every year for 20 years. Your video gives us needed info for our August trip. Supporting Maui with tourist dollars! Thanks from California!
Please continue the updates. It is encouraging to see the progress of the clearing. Looking forward to seeing the reconstruction of this most beloved community on Maui.
I live on the East Coast, and my family has been coming to Hawaii at least once a year for the last two decades (17 or so of those years have been Maui). First my parents, then, after my father passed away, my mom, my brother and myself. While we have friends who live/lived in Lahaina and Wailuku, we don't want to be asking them for updates. They have enough going on without that. Your videos are how we can stay apprised of the progress being made without having to ask questions that may be injuring to people we care about who are trying to heal. I think you do a good job of remaining factual and impartial, while conveying the information you possess in a clear and well-laid-out format. Please continue!

We recently visited Kauai because our trip to Maui was canceled after the fires. My husband and and I both agree our heart is in Maui and hoping to return soon ❤
I really appreciate your videos. I live in San Diego County, California, and we have experienced conflagrations similar to the Maui one. Every time I watch one of your videos, my heart aches for those who lost their lives, lost their homes, lost their businesses, and lost their jobs. I find your videos very informative and sincerely hope you continue to update us on the recovery. We are frequent visitors to Maui, but have stayed away to give residents time to recover.
We traveled to Maui to spend our tourist dollars in the community instead of in Mexico because of being able to see the progress from your videos. We enjoyed the whole island and respected our beloved Lahaina at the same time. We ate at Mala Tavern after learning from you that they re-opened. Every little bit helps the community to improve day by day. I was first hesitant to watch the videos because I was skeptical that they were done by a real estate guy, but they are informative, current, and helpful in planning Maui trips to infuse $$ into the local businesses without interfering with the cleanup. We went to Maui for our 1986 honeymoon and have tried annually to either celebrate our anniversaries or my husband's or my birthdays there, so Maui and especially Lahaina mean so much to me and my husband. We love Maui and wish her well.
Appreciate the updates you’ve given us. I am a native now living in Georgia. I’m a concerned citizen and want to follow up on the progress. Our people need help to get their homes back to them asap. Keeping them in my thoughts and prayers! 🌺🌺
As a 3 time past tourist, I don't/can't find anything BAD about your video. It's great to see work being done to restore homes and business's. As a tourist, I would love to see all those stores and restaurants rebuilt like they were. I'm sure that could be done.
PLEASE continue these updates!! We look for them because we love Maui a 20 time visitor!! Our prayers n financial support to Maui has increased because we can see the progress! Excited to see Maui getting strong again. Mahalo
Absolutely! Continue. Our son is a US Coast Guard that saved lives there. Bless everyone 🙏
My heart really goes out to the residents, I live in Northern California & all of our communities were deeply affected by the serious wildfires a few years back. I am curious, I have heard that many have received no help yet from their insurance companies. And also about the very long delays in the permit process to start rebuilding their homes. Here we have seen areas of single family homes being replaced with apartments, condos, etc. Also it is extemely difficult to find home owner's insurance for fires. One of my friend's insurance policy was increased by $10,000.00 this year. I do hope that you continue filming the areas as things improve, it's so important to see some progress & I really don't understand why your videos would be removed. AS we get closer to the beginning of this year's fire season we are becoming more anxious.
Thank you for the updates. I still have to fight the tears for the devastation and pain Lahaina has experienced. I live in Phx and come to Maui one / two times a year, and will continue to do so. I love Maui and HI. God bless you all, you are in my prayers. Please keep the videos coming!
I understand and appreciate those who prefer that the videos be discontinued. But I believe that seeing progress may be beneficial to the recovery. I look forward to the videos and am very encouraged by the progress made so far.
I am a long time (38 years) visitor to Maui and I am very grateful for these videos. They can be disturbing, but also inspiring and informative. They provide an important historical record of this disaster and the on-ongoing recovery. Keep it up. Mahalo.
Yes please continue updates. We have family here and we were just visiting Feb/March 2024. We have been several times to Maui. Love this place like a second home! Thank you for your videos!
Please continue your updates. What a horrible loss. I have been watching in Seattle and I am really fascinated with the process the community is making. There's something about the hope and positive tone to your videos that is inspiring and universal. In life we often face great loss - and it is really impressive to see a whole community clear the debris, clean up, rebuild and heal. Sending my best from the Pacific Northwest! ❤
Please do keep updating us on the Mainland. My family ties with Lahaina and Maui go back to my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother who emigrated from Portugal. He owned dry good stores in Wailuku, and Lahaina, and served on the Grand Jury in the late 1890's and early 1900's. So having the updates and seeing the progress helps immensely, as we no longer get any news about the recovery where I live. Even my family on Oahu can only give partial updates, seeing the progress does make a difference. It was very emotional to actually see the Banyan tree as you flew the drone over it, damaged but showing resilience.
As Canadian tourists, we've visited Lahaina on three separate occasions over the years. A magical place. Thank you, Jesse for your ongoing videos and for expressing the concerns we all share for the ultimate completion of the Lahaina restoration projects. Our favourite memory is in regards to Lahaina's Pioneer Inn. While visiting the Big Island in 1974, we encountered Steve Goodman and family in Hilo's Lili'uokalani Park and Gardens. Arlo Guthry's hit recording of 'City of New Orleans' was written by Steve. Steve told us a story about his stay with wife Nancy at Lahaina's Pioneer Inn where they were currently staying. He was so broke and the rent was due he was afraid to leave their suite when out-of-the-blue he received in the mail a rather large royalty check from Asylum Records. Their financial concerns were over! Each time we've visited Lahaina - and sitting in their lanai eating Mahi-mahi and eggs for breakfast - we reflect upon Steve's story. We look forward to the day when these wonderful holidays can be replicated. God Bless America. Bill
Yes Jesse please keep posting your videos, they are so helpful for everyone. Thank you
I totally feel for those that want your videos discontinued, however, I truly appreciate your very positive videos. I am glad you are sharing with us the progress. I really appreciate the updates.
Keep up the great videos. Much appreciated from a frequent visitor to beautiful Maui. Leave the haters in the rear view mirror. You are doing good work and it should be 100% appreciated. Thank you for your time and effort
I really appreciate your videos. I live in Kansas and my daughter and I vacationed in Lahaina in 2021. Recovery is not being covered by the media in the mainland. This is one of few comprehensive videos showing the progress. We care and want to be updated. So thank you!!
I grew up in Hawaii from 1963-1978. It is my home, I lived on Maui several different times and my dad lived there for 30 years so this Disaster was very personal to me. I think Any video that is trying to inform people of the progress and forward movement is positive to everyone. Thank you for keeping us informed.
Thank you so much for your videos. I am Canadian. My family has been vacationing on Maui since the 1960's. Four generations of us now. Some of my earliest memories are from Lahaina, and it is absolutely one of my favourite places on Earth. I was last on Maui Christmas of 2022 and left with heavy heart as I may never be able to afford to visit again. I was heartbroken at the fire and reached out to island residents I know to check on their safety. I cannot help in any tangible way, but I care deeply for this community, it's people, culture and traditions and I look forward to the rebuilding of this charming, historic town, and the return of its people.
Lahaina has been a world-wide destination. I visited in 1969 and saw many of the sights you mention. You are not infringing on anyone’s privacy. And I understand the pain that homeowners still experience. But I believe that this tragedy should require continued attention and scrutiny for obvious reasons. Thank you for these videos. My heart and prayers are with those who have suffered and died.
Yes! please continue the videos! I don't believe they are harmful to the community. People, myself included, are truly interested in this issue. We visited Maui alot over the years and were recently there just before the fire. We're genuinely interested in how the rebuild is going and how the banyon tree is fairing. We've noticed that you don't put in information that is personal nor sensitive so no one should be offended nor concerned. It's very informative. Keep up the good work!
Great video, Jesse! I really appreciate these updates. My wife and I travel to Maui every year and felt devastated by the fires. You are providing a great service for all those that want to stay up to date and helps continue to keep the devastation in LahainaTown in the public eye. Best wishes to you and all the residents of Maui.
We LOVE your drone footage and truly appreciate your time and effort to produce them! You are so right, there's lots of progress being made! We can't wait to see the first homes being constructed! THANK YOU!!!
Yes!!!! Please, please continue with your Marvelous work in your commentary and drone updates on the progress of Lahaina!! I’m always looking for the next update!! As a former resident of Lahaina who now lives on the Big Island, my Heart and Prayers continue to go to all those affected by the wildfires and the updates have been so beneficial in so many ways. There will always be those who see otherwise and not agree with the updates, but please know, that what you do is incredibly respectful and informative and appreciated!! Mahalo Nui for ALL that you’re doing to bring awareness and to aide in the healing of such a devastating time!!!
Jesse, thank you so much for keeping us on the main land updated. My family and I were on vacation on Oahu with the second half to be on Maui the day after the fire. Our hearts and prayers have been with all the residents of Maui and we continue to pray someday we will be able to come to Maui, a lifetime dream that is temporarily on hold. Your updates are encouraging. Thanks again
Keep the videos coming, I look forward to the progress that is being made. As for the residents, these videos are bringing in volunteers and donations of money and supplies. He is not invading anyone’s personal information, only telling the facts. Thank you for your videos Jesse
Yes, please keep us updated. We're in Australia, visited Lahaina twice. Even today, when watching the video and seeing and hearing the progress made, it brought tears ..... We've donated, as this seems the only thing we can do from this distance with quick result to assist any way possible. Mahalo for keeping us updated. Sending love and best wishes to the people of Lahaina.
Thank you. I lived on Oahu (Wahiawa) from 84-90 and visited Maui, and Lahaina many times - My heart still goes out to you all for the devastation and suffering - thank you for letting us know out here how things are and what progress is being made. After I moved from Hawaii in 1990, I lived nearly 25 years in SE Arizona, which is no stranger to wildfire(s). We had to evacuate several times but had no damage. (Now I live in Central Ohio).... God Bless you all!
This was such a devastating event. I cannot imagine the work that is involved to progress forward. Please continue these videos so we on the mainland can see the progress that’s being made. I really don’t feel your videos show disrespect for the community. It helps people who are not on the island know what’s going on. I’m sure there is a lot frustration and anger and how things were handled. But it is very informative for nonresident to see how things are progressing for all the people affected. We pray for everybody every day, so they find peace and security and their lives
We visited Lahaina on five different occasions over the years and these updates are valuable!
Hi Jesse. I'm from Australia and dived with Lahaina Divers way back in 1987. I still have fond memories of that time and was very upset when seeing the devastation back in August. Thank you for your channel. It's comforting to see the recovery progressing. My thoughts are with you all.

I also have been diving with Lahaina Divers since 1981! I went out with Blaine when he ran a six pack boat to Lanai! They were always a great operation!! 😊

I dived throughout the Pacific in my younger days, but the Lahaina area remains my favourite..especially Lanai and Molokini..😊.@jaycolella
As an upcountry resident, I really appreciate these videos. We have so-far stayed away from the burned areas, but these are great updates, especially the stuff about things opening, the progress of the clean-up, etc. Thank you for making them.
Keep the updates coming please. Your videos are the only way we can keep informed of the progress in Maui, as the news never covers it!
Yes, continue the video updates. I'm glad you care. Thank you!!!!!
I appreciate these updates and the videos are key to seeing, rather than hearing about, progress and recovery of this most tragic event!
Jesse- Yes, please continue your updates, they are a valuable tool in aiding the recovery. I have friends that relocated here to the mainland after losing everything in that fire. Although watching any video about it is too disturbing for them, hearing about the progress through your videos is helping them in their personal, emotional recovery. It's true that the early ones were (and always will be) heartbreaking to watch, but as progress and rebuilding continues, it can only be heartwarming to see Lahaina rising from it's ashes. A different Lahaina yes, but one that will be as strong, determined, and united as before, thanks to the beauty and spirit of it's residents. No fire can ever extinguish that. Thank you for what you do.
Yes . Continue. People on mainland that want to pray for and support this effort to reclaim and rebuild. Some of us want the Kingdom RESTORED, places like sugar museum , golf courses RESTORED TO people like KAI PAKI who is a direct decendant, has it together and can handle with her people the build of a better home for Hawaiian people.❤💜🧡🤙
Jesse, keep up the good work. You will never get 100% and I stopped watching another channel that got bizarre with conspiracy theories

Thank you for your support !!!
Aloha, yes please keep them coming, received from my boss this morning in email. My wife and I live in Honokowai and still seems unreal. I watched for the first time this morning and I've held my emotions in for 9 months, but I finally let it all go. Mahalo for sharing.
YOU'RE DOING GREAT,,, I'm part of that clean up process as a trucker and am in ground zero daily...This video gives us a good look at what progress has been done.. can't imagine why some locals, are protesting this.. by the way, I'm LOCAL,,,3/4 hawaiian, 1/8 german shepard and 1/8 English muffin,,,,,,,,,,,, and I appreciate your updates
Jesse, thank you for these. I used to live in the Wahiluki area back in mid-90's. Seeing this fly overs breaks my heart so much. I can see that My apartment building was completely lost like so many others. I appreciate seeing what is going on. No one is keeping people updated like you are. Thank you so much! I pray for the people of Lahaina all the time. I hope everyone gets restored to their home.
Thank you Jesse for another great video. I know you work so hard on them. I"m on Oahu (born and raised) and feel that all the islands are a part of my home and am heartbroken for all those affected. I agree with those other comments that state that we no longer really see updates on the progress of the affected areas, and these videos do bring awareness and optimism. Nature is so unforgiving and it's amazing how the fire affected one home and not a home next to a burned out area. I look forward to your drone updates, please keep them coming. I can see how you are filming these updates with heart and not just for views or fame.
Hi Jesse from Australia, I think your videos are truly positive , it's wonderful to see the progress that has been made. I look forward to visiting again once the rebuild is complete.

Thanks so much!
Totally appreciate your coverage and continuity with Lahaina towns remediation and progress. Am 🇨🇦 and we have fires in Alberta and BC every spring- fall . The personal and financial heartbreak of Lahaina residents resonates with those of us who have lived through the destruction of these fires personally. Certain places live in fear each spring now. No solutions to our problem is evident yet. Government doesn't seem to learn from past experiences or take enough premeditated actions to prevent at least some of the Epic destruction. Also, many Canadians who hold Maui, specifically Lahaina town closest to our hearts, want to see Lahaina town and it's original community healed. ❤
WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN. Detroit Michigan. Thanks for these videos
Thank you and mahalo for updating the progress after the fires in Lahaina. You are doing a service to all that have been impacted and all that need to be aware of what happened and what is happening. Lahaina strong!
