I bought my first new Porsche when I was 18, a 1975 914. Even though it had only 72 bhp, I joined the Porsche Owners Club and raced it for several years. It was an awesome little car. It kept the lines unlike the 911s at the time. Later I was able to spec out a 911 and eagerly waited for it to be delivered, though it was nice, you never forget your first.
The Porsche Carrera and Panamera were named after this race ! Porsche owns this race!
