World's Fastest Camera Drone Vs F1 Car (ft. Max Verstappen)
Спорт
This is Formula 1 like you’ve never seen it before. The @dutchdronegods follow Max Verstappen’s brand new @redbullracing RB20 F1 car for a full lap of Silverstone’s Grand Prix Circuit. The world first uninterrupted FPV one shot was captured by a manually piloted custom built drone, designed specifically for the challenge of keeping up with the car at speeds of over 300kph.
It took Red Bull and the Dutch Drone Gods over a year to create a drone that can accelerate two times faster than an F1 car, reaching 300 km/h in just 4 seconds with a top speed of over 350 km/h. The development was accelerated by access to know-how and processes of Red Bull Advanced Technologies, a high-performance engineering arm of Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team and trialled behind the RB8 and RB19 cars driven by @liamlawson30 and David Coulthard.

This one drone showed us things we've all never seen. Watching the car through the rain, it looks like a fighter plane approach super sonic. The rain water follows the aero paths, and you can see the flow of air around the car. Simply remarkable footage, and would not be surprised to see this little company scooped up by RB or possibly F1 themselves. That footage is too good. EXCELLENT way to preview the tracks.
I've always had an appreciate for the speed in F1 but this puts it into a new perspective for casual fans at home. Now you know why a single mistake can spin you off the track, it's a very precise sport of mental and physical endurance despite just being the "driver". The wet lap didn't do it as much justice as the dry lap but this is also a test for the drone too see if it can withstand the elements and still operate, also the skill of the drone pilot. Good job guys.

100% of the sounds were added. The whooshes, the F1 engine, all recorded externally and edited in. Not that this takes anything away. This was awesome, the fastest I've been able to get my drone is around 200km/hr. This is wayyyy better
It's hard to imagine getting to this in just one year of work. I caught myself forgetting to breathe, that is some fantastic work.
This is EPIC! Hopefully some day we get to watch race footage from an overhead 280 kmh vantage point. Great work all around.
The foottage was just epic - the dry footage with Liam Lawson driving was brilliant.

im actually glad you got a shot in the rain, might not be the fastest due to the wet track, but the micro corrections max was making, the amount of water being pushed out the way by the car, the overcast sky, it just looks absolutely epic seeing a machine do all of this in the weather

Max you can tell is on the limit with the car and wet conditions. He did a supurb turn, as always, and not losing control of the car. What's crazy if this catches more ground and start seeing this during the races. Getting a different perspective of the cars during a formula 1 race🤯
Shots like these also give you a real sense to the skill of the drivers. On the wet lap you can see instances where the car loses traction ever so slightly resulting in a bit of a shimmy, the way that Max keeps it under control and maintains forward speed is awesome. Really shows that Max was trying to put in a good lap time and not just out for a relaxing lap.

Imagine if there were four drones all running preprogrammed shots. Props the both drivers, and the video editors here
Cannot wait to see this being used to stream an actual grand prix, it is so much clearer to see traction loss, the breaking zones the cars manoeuvre through and the raw speed, its amazing!
honestly seeing an entire full lap from that perspective in the rain is absolutely amazing. You can really see what kind of difference it makes to the control of the car compared to the dry one. Also the water mist really highlights the aerodynamic features of the car. That's art right there.
