Do you have any idea of how this fender was formed? He says that he shrunk the perimeter, and stretched the center. Why do the area around the wheel arch look stretched?..www.pro-touring.com/threads/111638-Auto-Rod-Tech-s-metal-shaping-and-fabrication-thread

@@greent4260 How the weld looks doesn't matter because the weld will be hammered and filed/ground in the final finishing process.

The Authentic Steve as they say grinder and paint can make the welder you ain’t
Yup, that's what I call art. You blokes have a gift.

Incredible synthesis of 21st century digital technology with 19th century artisanal skill. The results on a reimagined 20th century car body are really fantastic.

Exactly what I like to see. The indepth behind panel beating for one. Can't imagine the man hours but love the workmanship. Would get into this at some point in life as I want to do fabrication alongside mechanics.

I don't know a lot about this stuff, but I just watched a couple of episodes of Ian Roussel doing a hideous fibreglass hack job on a Porsche and then watched this old school artistry. Very different skill set.
Awesome workmanship .!!!!
Looks a lot like a 2nd-Gen Corvair (`65 - `69). Excellent work, Gents !
Great skill, thank you for sharing... Cheers from Indonesia

Amazing workmanship guys 👍
AWESOME JOB!!!! ;CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!!
HOLY CRAP ! Amazing work , I took a few sheet metal forming classes in College , but all we learned how to do was make a bowl ............ Our teacher didnt really care for the class, so we didnt gain any practical knowledge of how to do this .......... I really wish I had a teacher that was passionate about metal work , so I could have learned how to do this ............ Thank you for showing this , and allowing us to see some of the process involved in building something from scratch .......... Is there another channel that shows more work from these guys ?
Wish I had someone teach this to me earlier in life,,, I would have loved to have done this for a living. Soooo cooooool ! 😎
Flip, I didn't know you get mashines like that. Wow! The sky is the limit with that skill and mashines.

Amazing work.
No words INCREDIBLE
Most people would say why bother! But after seeing the end result? Well pretty obvious it's a truly hand crafted piece of art
❤ personally I’ve always wanted to see a chopped HQ That’d look hot
Skill at it's very best
The straight cut metal shear (3 blades) was invented after WW II by Al Swink, a past mayor of Santa Monica, Ca. He also invented the car wash and used government surplus B-17 supercharger motors to dry the cars. Look him up.
Wish I had that ability the side of that HQ looks slick gents
very nice work guys. I try doing this stuff without the machinery and it is really hard. you guys are doing it right. 😋
Great work, the value of these cars gives this work. Look up how in cuba they beat out rear panels with a hammer by eye. They been doing that for 40yrs as they had been banned from importing cars from the states.

Great job...!
That's amazing,
that is so fricken awesome!
Nice work
That design has a very Italian feel to it, like earley 1960's time frame. Wonderful work, custom coachwork is a lost art.

Italian? American muscle car yeah, but certainly doesn’t have any resemblance to Osca or iso grifo being different than most Italian cars. Fiats, Ferrari, alphas and Maserati for example ALL spear towards a signature look that’s Italian. This car can easily pass as a GM product in the late 60s or at the very least it looks like a prototype for a gm muscle car.

Muscle car definitely, that look could have saved AMC if they had an engine that deserved to be in a fine piece of art as that, hell that look would be bad ass no matter what badge you put on it it's very much it's own now awesome
