I consider myself a long time listener of the joe rogan experience. I cannot think of a time where he just blurted a racial slur, This is clearly being taken out of context and is part of the ongoing effort of corporate media to manufacture public consent against joe rogan.

Ongoing effort is right. It reeks of a systematic attack. The media hits him with medical misinformation claims. He apologizes giving them NOTHING else to work with, and then a complete non sequitur shows up with this N word business. Christ, it's like a badly written House of Cards episode.

You’re right. Obviously, not one person believes Joe to be racist. It’s just an attack to try to destroy him because they’re afraid of free thought and speech. Joe has never been a news outlet, but they’re treating him like one. And Joe is always having a conversation with many different people and has never claimed anything was fact. Everybody knows this, but they are trying to infringe on our rights to speech and thought. It hurts their goal to push their narrative and theirs only.

I think that its far to say that *most* black people 2022 are not whole sale offended by the word itself and I do think that context matters. in the sense that, I would prefer that a white man not use the word at all. But if he did, I would not immediately jump to outrage. That would depend on the context. But in 2022, in the era of virtue signally bs, nuance is thrown out the window in favor of hard line black and white stances. Why? Because its about maintaining polarization. Agreed... my only problem is... Breaking Points dropped a segment of the story... they missed the part where Joe called a theater or Black people "Planet of the Apes" say what you will about Joe, but I'm more upset that breaking points forgot to mention that part!

Why would Spotify agree to this!? Why would Joe. I want a public inquiry.

I woke up this morning, reached over to the empty half of my queen-size bed, and yearned for Saagar to be back here where he belongs ❤️

So beautifully thought out, K and S! Great job. Listened to this twice and the final minute is the hardest thing to communicate to people who have been brainwashed to chronically feel instead of critically think. BRAVO!

Those letters from Spotify were made by a Peter Kafka, how ironically Kafkaesque!

I knew they would come for him. Spotify's response is so typical. You guys are spot on. I'm black and I've watched JRE and really appreciate his voice.

Personally, I signed up for spotify over the weekend and watched a fair bit of the joe rogan podcasts. I'm disgusted by the selective outrage here, joe's not an angel but he brings a wide range of people to discuss their ideas more fully than one could in a stupid segment on tv, which is extremely valuable in this day and age of 300 characters tweets

I think Daniel Ek is doing the best he can to balance everything. Do I think he should've put out that statement? Personally I don't. But when you have employees who may have felt deeply offended, you have to do what you can to console without pandering. I think he did that.

One of the biggest reason is alot of artists are upset that he got a 100mil deal, and they getting like 10 cents per song. So it really is about him getting alot and not them and they fill shitty about it. And they feel unfair.
