Krakow is much nicer then Warsaw because Krakow wasn't destroyed during WWII, so all the old buildings, castles and churches are all original, that's why Krakow is the most popular tourist destination in Poland. Over 90% of Warsaw was destroyed during WWII, so most of the buildings you see in Warsaw have been rebuild, they tried to restore Warsaw to it's former glory, but they didn't have building plans for some of the buildings so they restored Warsaw as much as they could from memory. I still say that the Polish people did an amazing job restoring Warsaw, when you look at it now most people wouldn't know that over 90% of the city was destroyed during WWII. But if you haven't been to Krakow then you must go, it's amazing and make sure you visit the Wieliczka Salt mines also. Krakow should be number 1 off places to visit if you're going to Poland.

@@szymonzielinski7160 Thanks. Yeah, I definitely have heard of Tadeusz. I may have this wrong, but I believe he was a War hero in BOTH countries, which is pretty freaking cool IMO!! I also think I read that he was good friends with Thomas Jefferson, which is extra fantastic, as T.J. is one of my favorite Presidents. You have to love a President Who says, *"If given the choice between censorship and anarchy, I'll take anarchy every time.* " I wish the USA could have another President like Jefferson. I found out about it a year ago (I visited almost every bigger city in Poland - Toruń was one of the latests and the most cosy). Torun is so beautiful that Kraków can hide... I mean in my opinion, because I used to live nearby Kraków so maybe I've been there too many times to enjoy ;) Toruń is great with very small amount of tourists! It has it unique charm which I wouldn't never feel in Kraków, Gdańsk or Wrocław ;)

Z Krakowa uciekają coraz czesciej Krakusy a miasto przejmują napływowi. Idealna recepta na śmierć miasta.

Once great city ruined by mass tourism and bad taste. Known as a stag party centre for English working classes. In the past it used to be known as capital of polish culture (actors, theatres, writers) not any more. City is dangerous during night as local football hooligans are uncontrolled by police. There has been significant amount of stabbings in past few years. City is living on it's past fame... Sad. Avoid avoid avoid.
