Kostis & McCord - Off Their Rockers, a new golf video podcast, makes its debut with co-hosts Peter Kostis, one of the best teachers in the game, and Gary McCord, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour Champions.
The two former broadcast partners have teamed up once again, this time to provide commentary, interviews, entertainment and swing help for golfers of all levels on their weekly show.
"We can finally share all the untold feuds, fights, laughs and secrets that we had to keep quiet for all those years! It’ll be a blast to be able to tell those previously off-limit stories and have more than 6 seconds to do it", said Kostis. "Let’s face it, we've pretty much seen it all in our decades of playing, teaching, calling the action, and now we're ready to bring fans inside the ropes and behind the scenes with no holds barred."
Co-host Mike Abram, a longtime golf television and commercial producer, will join Kostis and McCord on the show, which promises to be both entertaining and informative. "Peter and Gary are two of the most original and engaging golf personalities of all time," said Abram. "Their experience in the game, unique perspective and sense of humor will make Off Their Rockers a must-watch for golf fans everywhere. And, this podcast allows the golf industry a unique opportunity to speak directly to golfers about great products, golf travel destinations and talk to our guests that love this game."
Gary McCord said, “Bottom line, I’m bored, retirement sucks and I can only play so much golf. So, when Mike came to Peter and me and said we could do a video podcast and say and do ANYTHING we wanted with no rules, I said, I’m in, let’s go!”

Appropriate for the title of these fine gentlemen. But seriously these two are some of the best minds in golf. Peter with the analysis from his time at Golf Digest and with the Konica Minolta camera. Also Gary with learning from one of the most innovative golf minds in Mac OGrady. Will look forward to the instruction tips.
Great seeing these two again. Telecasts now are as exciting as watching a dog take a dump!

CBS golf has become a real snore suit, it's too bad. They're heyday was when McCord, Kostis and Feherty were on the golf coverage, they were knowledgeable and very entertaining. I prefer NBC with Azinger and Faxon now.

This started 7 mos ago and I never heard of it until today via reading some article online. I was dumbfounded when CBS fired them and the idiotic reason ( so said CBS ) that was given. It never made sense as Peter alluded to the demographic which watches golf the most ( older golf junkies like myself ). I have rarely listened to any golf announcing now as I dvr any tournaments I want to watch and fast forward from shot to shot. Finding this endeavor by Kostis and McCord is like finding something I valued but had misplaced and happened upon it years later. I can't wait for all the stories I'm about to hear. Thank you Peter and Gary for doing this! I don't know anything about marketing, but I am a bit surprised I haven't heard of this until 7 mos after it started. If you two can somehow get this out there more, I'd not be surprised to see millions of subscribers. I'm passing this along to my golf buddies.

I "met" Gary in 1991. I was at the Kemper Open standing in the driving area of a long par 4. I was watching drives, and then saw the drive of a young John Daly sail past everyone else. McCord came walking up and asked me if I saw where the drive went. We were both like, wow, that is a drive. With no idea that later in the summer, Daly would win the PGA. So, yeah, Gary and I are long-time friends. 🙂

Hi Gary, My family was at the 98 Phoenix Open on a Friday and you hit a ball 10 yards in front of the green on #11. As I was talking with fans my 5 year old son walked onto the fairway to your ball! I sprinted the 20 yards and scooped him up just as he was reaching down to pick up your ball! You came up to the ball looked over at us and said something really funny to get us and the crowd laughing! Been a fan ever since! God Bless! Leo Eledge

Great first episode! I used to live in N. Scottsdale (Troon No.) and played at Grayhawk. Also, took 2 series of lessons at your school through Paul Trittler in 2003 and in 2008. Used to see you guys in Phil's Grill after a lesson or a round of golf. Looking forward to more stories of behind-the-scenes on the PGA!

There is a youtube golf boom going on with the younger crowd. The PGA tour needs to adapt the telecasts. LIV has shaken up the Tour into some changes but most of the broadcasts are no different than they were 30-40 years ago. And what is with having 3-4 guys with British accents on the telecasts? It gives off a Blue Blood country club feel that is stale and dated.
The PGA Tour has been in rapid decline since McCord got fired. Now it's just the PGA pink shirt boys and dreadfully dull commentary.
Love the cheating Patrick Reed story. 👍🏼
