When I hear people who know history say "look at history", I don't think they realize how many people truly do not know history before their own life time. Many people only live in the moment. I'm a huge history buff and I read about it everyday. But that's just my personality and how I was raised. Many parents in the last 60 years have not passed down their own heritage from their ancestors to their children. They're leaving it up to the public schools to do that for them. Parents have to step up and tell their kids to read. They have to read books from other centuries. Read newspapers and magazines from other periods. There's even great YT channels that teach history. We can't just rely on a public or private school teacher to tell them everything.

I've been a student of history all my life. One of the things you learn early is that history is so much more in depth than what is covered in textbooks. What is taught in school just barely scratches the surface of the actual events that transpired. One chapter on a entire era of history doesn't even give you 1% of the facts. That makes it very easy to draw the wrong conclusions based on the minuscule information provided. Which in turn allows those that are supposedly teaching it to easily twist facts to their own agendas. Couple that with the way subjects are taught in school. It used to be that the teachers knew that the text book only gave a general outline and they filled in the blanks with lectures. With the modern drive to get test scores higher they only teach out of the book and only require the students to regurgitate that on the test, meanwhile they take the time that could be used teaching the more in depth information and use it to preach. We need to let our children know that their teachers aren't the fonts of all knowledge and if they truly want to know they need to learn for themselves. Trust yet verify.

Watching several interviews with K. Kisin I came to conclusion that he is a shill. He's obvious intention is to water down the real, normal anti-woke message. Yes, the "I oppose the current thing" is the right way to do, because "the current thing" is always carefully chosen by the woke elites. They know why they chose "the current thing", and it is virtually enough just to be against it. But, K. Kisin is a Russian Jew (never forget that!), and you'll be silly to think he'd do something that really and fundamentally opposes the woke culture and the "current thing"

His solution is not so simple to implement. Most developed countries are now unofficially socialist (and that is the gateway to communism). Communist governments love to hand everything to the state, so that it has control of the masses: it controls your education, health, work etc. Communist regimes do not allow ''alternative'' anything. Communism doesn't do ''free choice'' so the ''market'' decides.

It's mistake to give them the wrong idea their lunacy is "accepted", a "human right", a "pride", a "virtue". At the moment someone is quite happy to castrate, mutilate and turn people into proto-communist vegans thinking it is cool, that it's accepted. That those not accepting are low-IQ bigots. Pardon. The major problems in the vast majority of post-2000 groups is inertia and complacency. The 'now' generation just want to be 'happy' - they have no other aim, and happiness for them is what is fed to them via that sewer in their hands all the time. Just listen to the school kids on the bus. It is, in effect, too late. I was talking to a thirty year old recently and he's already locked-in to the narrative, and wouldn't accept anything that was even a moderate suggestion to question or examine - and that is the problem.

  • @splaffyduck5787

Sounds like your whole view is based on an assumption that young people (up to 30 year olds which is a fairly broad stretch of young people) are wrong, and that you're right because you're older. You specifically criticise them for being locked into a narrative - haven you stopped to consider that your narrative is in fact the one that's wrong? Seems pretty natural for more recent generations to have a deeper understanding of some topics.

I think he makes a good point. "Not woke" doesn't mean you are "anti woke" (i.e. standing in opposition to the ideals that underpin wokeness). He made a similar point in his speech to the Oxford Union. He said that the guiding principles and ideals that underlay wokeness are commendable (less racism, less sexism etc) and it is something that most reasonable people would agree is something we should be striving for as a society. Where woke people and "not woke" people differ - is in the approach taken to achieve that. If I watch and enjoy a movie that has a diverse cast (like Aliens or Predator) - but the movie doesn't try to batter me over the head with political messaging (i.e. it isn't woke), does that mean that movie is racist for not being woke (and by extension I am racist for watching and enjoying it).......of course not........but that is the message that some woke people are sending, that you are either with us, or you are against us. There is no neutral middle ground for them.

He nailed it when he said give an option and let the market speak. That would kill wokeism as most people want nothing to do with it. Like him, I do not even speak or acknowledge those people. Insufferable is the best description for them.

Haha I bet if the woke “movement” which is not really a movement but to know if you are in a team you aren’t supposed to be in? I don’t understand why you don’t stop these fake people on KZread channels causing really bad controversy that only get bible comments and rebuttal you guys are weird for at least not acknowledging at least the woke person that started this all is actually trying what these knuckleheads are mostly doings is what that person was doing was to make them read some really crazy things that will get them insane? Idk they somehow get to us to so why not, yes challenging their ideas with ours is good but no one does it where we are learning on KZread no one actually really wants a discussion cause it’s more like a job to us than something to say and get paid for it so idk kind of failed to get their point out on wokeism but maybe because he didn’t have the right community to tell not this way and do it this way just like we let mr beast do videos doesn’t mean everyone agrees where he got the money from alright so why not talk bad about his good huh? Only Wokeism is your issue oh please
