Wala ako family doctor for almost 10 years. Meron lang ako pinupuntahan na walk in clinic and i consider him my primary doctor. He was the one who requested nung kinailangan ko ng specialists. Medical doctors in a walk in clinic can arrange for you to see a specialist.

I followed them since they started and I really wanted to see the future Im telling them to give 5 years everything will turn out well and Im sure its a good future and be a more than cum laude grad coz I experienced it with my husband he went back to sch here in USA and graduated with honors and you csn do it Miss Emma

kami naman pong mag asawa eh hinanda naman po namin ung sarili namin na we will get the job that we have in the Philippines which nag manifest naman after so many failures. Laban lng tlga and paghandaan. and I think most of us na may mga kids yan po tlga ang reason kung bakit kahit maganda na ang status sa pinas eh pinipili parin na mag Canada. sa work po kahit anong work na marangal eh ok po yan at dapat na maging proud tayo jan. kanya kanya lng po tlga, dipende sa diskarte at kung pano mo tlga ggustuhin na kunin ung work na gusto mo. siguro po kung ung work mo sa pinas is regulated like mga nurse eh need mo tlgang mag upgrade or mag arala ulit kasi iba tlga ang standards dito. pero if like us na nasa IT field eh same lng naman kasi ang programming sa pinas at dito sa Canada or kahit ibang bansa. for us po naka-kuha kami ng family doctor from referral po, filipino doctor pa ung nakuha namin so I think widen your network and don't be scared to ask. 😊

Regarding family doctor, nong nasa Calgary ako, pumunta lang kami sa isang walk-in clinic then they asked me if may family doctor na ako, and then they told me na if I want a family doctor, pwede yung doctor nila doon. That’s why nakahanap agad ako ng fam doctor sa Calgary. When I moved here in Ontario, hindi naman po ako nahirapan maghanap. It happened na my aunt&uncle’s primary care is Filipino at na-e-recommend ako..luckily, tumatanggap pa sila ng patient during that time.

All you need to do is keep going back to your walk-in Dr. and ask them if he/she can be your Family Dr.

Tama decision ninyo Emma , as long as you have each other you will reach your goal one step at a time.I was a nurse in the Philippines but I am currently work in retail by choice . My husband decided that one has to stay with our 2 young children and that’s me. He should be the one to be the main earner coz he is in best position to put us in financial stability by continually working in the US federal government. Good luck ! Hi Ina, Christian Esguerra brought me here.

We got our family doctor through referrals. May nakilala kaming Pilipino then nabanggit nya na nag aaccept ng patients yung isang doctor sa isang clinic. Siguro mga one month upon arrival namin.

@RICE--->kahit wala kang family doctor, tama sila, kahit na sinong doctor sa walk-in, pwedeng magbigay ng mga referrals & prescription. Pipila ka nga lang ng mahaba. Tapos sa susunod na magkasakit ka, may posibilidad na ibang doctor ulit yung tumingin sayo. Depende kung sinong available. Unlike kapag may sarili kang family doctor, mas magiging madali yung proseso kasi pwede ka na magpaappointment tapos hindi ka na palipat-lipat. In my case, I was lucky enough na yung batang doctor na pinuntahan ko nung nagkasakit ako sa isang walk-in clinic at napagtanungan ko kung pano ba magkafamily doctor,actually took me and my family when they arrived here in Quebec.

Thanks for sharing all your experiences here sa Spot Pinoy. I am your new subscriber from Calgary, Alberta. Regarding sa primary care doctors sa Alberta - may mga nag accept pa din ng new patients (e.g. family doctor) so mas swerte pa kami ngayon kaysa sa Quebec (as per idol Rice).

We landed PR last February 2024 here in Vancouver I'm Radtech in Saudi arabia for 11 years pero go back to zero talaga dito sa canada. Kaya now kahit anu nlng work ko pero di ako nahihiya kasi para sa future ng mga anak ko pero mahirapa talaga dito sa canada mas masarap buhay ko sa saudi malayo ang difference pero para sa mga anak ko iniisip ko.

Same rin sa akin dto sa Vancouver.kng saang walk in clinic ako pumunta nung una taz un ng pinupuntahan ko lagi until xa ng family doctor ko taz nung dumating asawa ko eh dun n rin xa.

In Ontario, you have to call healthcare connect to find a family physician. Pero dapat madiskarte ka sa mga clinics ung may doctor na tumatanggap pa ng clients.

Again, i think I've commented on your past video that questions / commentaries to be scripted so there is cohesion in the group. Can you interrupt? Yes. But do it sparingly. I watched "The View" for many many years, and you see how the hosts interact with each other and guests. These recent videos feel like there is a power struggle.

I accidentally encountered this channel. Its pretty good conversation but i dont understand filipino language that well coz i was born here. Fyi lawyers dont make what they say they make my sister is a family lawyer in alberta they definitely make an excellent living but not 300 per/hour maybe thats too extravagant or maybe part of a silly conversation. .. im 63 yrs old na at ngstroke ako ….. dahil sa health care senior citizen at philhealth. Ay na manage mga anak ko wala kming binayaran and so i have no problem khit mgptsekup ako araw araw.. im speaking for myself especially single pa ung anak ko na ng enroll sa akin sa healthcard ko.. ewan ko sa iba but luckilynok ang health i surance ..

Hindi ganun din dito sa Toronto. Ang alam.namin depende sa tanda ng apartment bldg. Kami dito sa Toronto naka apt din kami. Subsidie ang tinitirhan namin. We started 3 bdr. For 1200 all inclusive din. I've been here in Canada for 31 years dami ng pag babago as in super laki ng pag babago. Super hirap na ng buhay. Husband ko 3 jobs before. Maraming pag subok specially ng pandemic na nawalan ako ng work. Maraming kwento maraming experience.

Totoo yung padulas system sa atin, hindi talaga mawawala yon. Dito sa amin every year na kukuha kami ng business permit may mga kasamahan kami na walang business permit pero nakakapagtinda pa rin kasi talent nila yung magbigay ng padulas.

Yes, you can. As a permanent resident, you have the right to live, work or study anywhere in Canada. However, if you became a permanent resident through the Provincial Nominee Program, the province that nominated you has chosen you to bring skills to their province.
