My father is a former pastor, and a narcissist. I am glad that my mom, is out of their marriage though it's a long, sad journey. We grew up normalizing domestic violence sugar coated as "disiplina". I am grateful my mom and my siblings, and me are all healing, kahit minsan may relapse.. Laban lang palagi sa buhay. 🤍 I stan my mom for being brave. I cried so much from this episode. 🥹🤍

Ngayon ko pa narerealized na tama ung desisyon ko to get out from a toxic marriage almost 11 years ago kasi hndi na nakita ng mga anakko ung ganitong sitwasyon. Hndi na sila mas nasaktan makita ang ina nila na araw araw binubugbog ng ama nila.. i pray for everyone na dumadanas ng ganito na sana magkaron din sila ng lakas ng loob umalis o kumalas.. i suffered for 5 years of my life being a battered wife. Please, Wag kayo papayag sa ganon.

She has been through so much and nobody helped her. 😭 She is such a strong woman. God bless her. She is really broken but does not define her. 🙏 It was her childhood trauma that made her stay sa abusive relationship. I understand her, but her scars will always be there. I pray she will heal.

This is what Filipinos must understand & take into serious consideration. America & all other foreign lands are not land of milk & honey. I lived here Los Angeles for 22 years. It’s a life of keep going, swallow your pride & work like complaining is a no no. I am fortunate I work & still working in legit companies. Racial discrimination is prevalent. I used to be a bank manager & I started as an accounting clerk here in the USA . Worst my boss was the sister of my friend who encouraged me to come to USA. She treated me like shit… only because she probably thought here in the USA your being a manager is nothing. In my mind I knew I am starting from the bottom. My first day at work: my boss dropped dusty boxes in front of me & said here” file all of these” some Filipinos here are very condescending, specially those who came from A family with lack of values. Fortunately the owners of the company liked me& one of them I was maltreated. Eventually she got fired 😞.. but along the way I still had tough times. I came to USA alone with no family &. No relatives. Tough but God made it through. Whew…. My a Prayers is for Philippine government to provide good jobs enough to sustain a family. Toni thank you for your program that opens a path to share stories to open Filipinos “ eyes . USA is sometimes United Stress of America 😢

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.. sana isama ito sa curriculum sa school. Dpat maging aware tau sa mga type of narcissists 💯 Sobrang talamak nila. Nakakasuklam.. How to avoid this? Good Parenting!!! Nasa upbringing bakit nagiging narcissist ang isang tao.

So many lessons na mapupulot sa kwento mo Ma'am Citadel. Lesson to younger generations, to always seek help, to always be mindful,be smart in choosing whom you will love, and whom you will trust. This is somewhat an eye opener to every young Citadel to never forget to love yourself

It happens often than we realized. I'm glad she shared her story so that others would feel comfortable sharing theirs. It's important to make an awareness about domestic violence. This is very inspiring, and may God continue to bless you!

I lost my sandalan, source of happiness and joy, best friend and boyfriend last June 26. Please pray for me. I am having difficulty to continue life.

Im a battered wife too. Its true tikom tayo before kasi nga nakakahiya lalo na at naging pasaway ako sa nanay ko. Lumayo ako and I. Left my kids with him ang siste pati sila nakatilim ng lupit ng ama nila emotionally. Until now dala ko pa rin ang suklam sa kanya kahit patay na sya dko alam kung kelan ko sya mapapatawad. It's really so inspiring to hear/encounter/read stories like yours Ma'am Citadel. Your life and what you went through in life gave me a new perspective . Never be afraid to accept that you are in need of help from God and from the right persons and authorities. Never allow yourself to be abused just because you are afraid that no one will care and love you except for your pretentious "loved one". Never dwell on your past to regain new life and a new future. And never be afraid to try to stand again even if it means that what you only have is yourself.

This is a heartfelt story that shows out of drought ful days, there’s still hope. Her voice is a symbol of strength and victory. The same like her.. I just really wanted to have a family.. A family that I can called mine.. But I've been praying for 12 and still waiting for it.. 😇

I was also a victim of domestic abuse, I also have PTSD & undergoing medications & therapy. Right now im waiting for the resolution of my filed VAWC case to my ex husband, i can relate my ex husband also do love bombing, he gave me lots of flowers courting me before, then nung naging mag asawa na kame i suffered abuse physically, psychologically, sexually, he is like a demon in a human body pag nagalet prang santo pag humingi ng tawad, thank u for this episode i am still on my healing process, hoping to meet you Ms. @citadel Ms. @toni

Narcistic personality syndrom. Ganyan din ang ex husband ko. Sobra din ang suffering ko for 3 years.😭😭😭😭. Para tuloy nag falshback ang mga naranasan ko😭😭😭😭. When I filed a divorce the social welfare . Di ko nakalimutan ang sinabi niya. Your decision is the best thing you did , because when still stay with him. You will be like him. You are a normal persob he is sick". Matagal ang process ng healing sabi ng doctor. It takes 3 years. At tama siya. I am thankful sa naging desisyon ko and I have a good life now. Thank God because He was there and he is always there for us.

Thanks for this episode...nakakaiyak..iba talaga kapag ngmahal ka ng narcissist. It will break your soul..mahirap makawala due to trauma bond. it's a very powerful story to aware other people that they truly exist😕 Always choose yourself and know that you will rise again💛

yeah, even Boo Sanchez experienced to be molested by mismong pari that he looked up to b4..kaya kahit pari pa yan ay tao lang din yan at di natin basta2 fully bigyan ng trust natin, si Lord lang talaga ang perfect na pagkakatiwalaan natin.

Parang gusto ko din magshare ng story pero nahihiya din ako 😅 Ako naman nakilala ako sa Antwerpen dahil sa ex husband na sinisiraan din ako but when i come to know the Lord here in Belgium na overcome ko na din naka move on na ako abuse physical ang mental is really killing me dahil sa kahihiyan at nawalan ka ng dangal sa sarili.Nagtatago at nagkukulong sa dahil may anak ako nagsikap akong bumangon now im free and healed and Revived in Jesus Name
