The sweater looks great. I think the tonal yarn makes for a more ‘dimensional’ fabric, and I love it. I really appreciate how you detail your decision-making process. Btw one way I stabilize my winder on a table is by folding an old placemat around the edge of the table. That way I can tighten it up without worrying as much about denting the table. Sassy is super cute!

Loved this vlog style format and that sweater looks so good on you !! I think it was super refreshing and relatable to see the ups and downs and doubts we go through as knitters as we’re making a garment, so I’m all here for that ☺️

I really enjoy these types of videos that you do. I first watched a video of yours when you did your boyfriends sweater at Christmas. I’ve watched all of your videos since. You seem so real and honest and I like that. So many videos on KZread are way too over produced now. This was you knitting a sweater and taking us along for the ride.

Just found you today and I love your style of vlogging. Many has been the time I have moaned F#@k into the universe over a knit that was going a bit wrong. Love the colour of the jumper. I can't see the colour change but I've been there too and believe you.

The slight difference in color is due to the shadows made by the ribbing. It looks like the same color.

This was fun to watch as I knitted my cumulus blouse. The yarn color and final outcome looked great on you. Interesting points on the Harlow/Sweater no 14 differences. There are several patterns that seem so similar and at some point I wondered why all these designers were releasing "copies" of the same pattern. This is mainly due to the fact that we are so close to the patterns - until a designer releases a pattern verbatim, it should not be an issue. These "arguments". are like asking why bakeries sell similar loaves of bread or why ice cream shops all sell vanilla ice cream. Clearly, every one has their twist on things - be it yarn weight, size range, length, or the shoulder detail like Caidree's. There are only so many styles of pullovers - V-neck, crew, boat neck; raglan, drop shoulder, set-in. So similar styles are to be expected. I'm working on a list of patterns per style and then documenting the differences so it's easier to reference when I want to knit a type of garment. Similar to the convo, I was thinking of Sweater no 14 or Stockholm by PK. They are very similar to Harlow, and having the pointers are helpful.

I like your yarn and colour it gives depth and on the bottom gives that gradient effect a bit. Beautiful. You tempted me to dream to knit it one day 🧶 Greeting from Ireland, Barbara

There's something so nice about plushy double folded collars! Don't think I'll ever tire of v-necks. I'm working on my first sleeve on my Oslo sweater in a magenta using alpaca silk + silk mohair and loving the collar squish! And I do see what you mean about the neck ribbing being a sliiightly deeper shade at the start-- the garment still tuned out gorgeous!!

Such a beautiful pattern. I’m not a very experienced knitter but I have a 50/50 cotton/cashmere yarn on hand. If I’m making in a larger size (XL or 2XL), would the cotton stretch out the sweater too much? Would love advice from more experienced knitters before beginning.

Comparing the sweaters - different fibre recommendations and needle sizes are very valid choices to make, l would definitely look at similar patterns and decide whether l want warmer, lighter fibre on 6mm or a tighter gauge in a thinner yarn on 4.5mm.

Great video documenting the process. From what it looks like on my end regarding the color of the yarn, the color could appear different than the body because it is done with the ribbing which naturally creates shadows in between each rib vs the smooth fabric of the stockinette in the body. It doesn’t appear to look different on camera.

Life hack, if you have a long small needle (like a sock needle) you can pick up stitches with it and knit right from it with the correct needle size instead of having to thread in a lifeline
