I loved your podcast. You’re doing such a great job for being new to podcasting. Your talking is fluid, so well structured for us watching , And oh wow! When you came back in your cutaway shoulder test knit with your fringe instead of hair to the side, wth yr gorgeous tan you looked ten years younger! You really rocked that top!! Oh and, the correct way to write ‘ Knitters niche’ when it is showing possession meaning EVERY knitters niche, the apostrophe actually goes AFTER the ‘s’ of knitters as in ‘knitters’ niche’ which is the plural way of saying a niche for ALL knitters. Can’t wait to see Episode 2

Great first podcast Bobbie! Like Linda, I came across it accidentally and love it! You are so positive and lovely to watch. Unfortunately, I have two more weeks of no knitting due to a recent rotator cuff/bicep repair surgery but that doesn't stop me watching the podcasts and adding to my queue! I've not done a Ranunculus (I know, only person in the world, right?) but it is on the list. My grandmother taught me to crochet doilies when I was about 10 years old. She made up the stitches as we went along even though mine looked like a cup rather than a doily. I agree with you-what a gift she gave me! I learned to knit in Home Ec and tend to 'flick' the yarn as does Staci Perry of Very Pink Knits but I would love to perfect my continental method. Perhaps you could do a clip showing how you hold the needles and knit/purl continental? Thanks again and look forward to many more episodes!

Greeting from Minnesota Bobbi. I'm happy I stumbled across your channel and am looking forward to future episodes. This spring I knit my first Ranunculus and plan on making more. Like yours I knit mine to have much less ease than called for in the pattern. I also finished the Summer League Cutoff by Two of Wands. Mine looks nothing like the pattern as it is not a cutoff and I knit ribbing on the neck, sleeves, and bottom. The pattern is free on her blog which is nice. One of the things I would be interested to hear you talk about is if you adjust the armhole depth on patterns - basically raglan - and if so how you go about doing it. Many patterns if I stop where the armhole depth is where I want it, the body stitch count has not yet reached the number of stitches I need. Hoping this makes sense. Until next time, happy knitting.

Thank you Patty for watching and for your lovely comments! Your question about the armholes… it sounds like the increases need to possibly be every row instead of every other. 🤔 That’s my thoughts, but I’d have to look at the pattern to know for sure. Is it sleeveless?Great question!

Hi Bobbie, I really enjoyed your first episode. I'm looking forward to watching your channel regularly. I have a tiny request. I wish you would lower your camera to show you straight on rather then having the camera at a higher angle. Now I realize this may be knit picky, but I think this could turn an on okay video into a great one. I really like how you showed the close up photo of the ranunculus sweater on you. How about a full photo that shows how you style the sweater, do you wear it with jeans, or a skirt, or over a dress. I nearly didn't post this bit. I hope you don't take it negatively, it's not meant that way. Ugh. maybe I should delete. Feel free to ignore me.

I know exactly what you mean about the camera angle and distance. No worries, I really do appreciate feedback of my videos. I am so happy you enjoyed Episode 1 and took the time to comment. At the end of the episode I moved the camera back and added more footage. I think it made a big difference! Thank you!!😀

Bobbie, I really enjoyed your podcast and look forward to more. For anyone, like me that was a little intimidated by the Ranunculus I found some great tutorials on Sun Dragon Tips & Tricks. It really helped me get past my lack of confidence and I now have a beautiful summer wgt sweater! In the podcast you mentioned driving from Seattle to Vancouver, I think. Are you from the PNW? If so, do you have yarn store recommendations? We lost a few stores due to the pandemic and I struggle with ordering my yarn online.

Thank you Julia for watching Episode 1 and for your lovely comments! The Sun Dragon Tips and Tricks videos for the Ranunculus sweater are so good! No, my sister lived in Seattle many years ago and we were there visiting. It’s a beautiful part of the country and I wish I could have spent more time there. 😀

I enjoyed your first podcast and absolutely loved your Ranunculus. I looked up your project on Ravelry and the yarn you used, Koigu's Painter's Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM). It's actually a fingering weight yarn. Did you hold it double? Also, you said on your project page that it was brown, but the colourways have a letter followed by numbers. Do you happen to have the ball band with the colour number on it? I would love to know what you used--it's so pretty.

Thank you Jessica for watching and for the lovely comments! You’re right, I did say it was dk, but in fact it is fingering weight on the heavier side. I do have the ball band. The color is 2393, however it was from my deep stash which means it was purchased many years ago. The color should be the same or similar now. I held it single and used a US 9 for the neckband and body and size US 8 for the cuffs and hem. It’s always great to connect with fellow knitters!😀
