Knitters Kniche

Knitters Kniche

The main purpose of this channel is to review yarn and knitting patterns to let you know the pros and cons of a yarn I have personally knit with. I show examples of my knitting projects, my crochet projects and my sewing projects. Video tutorials for knitting and crochet will also be on my channel. Most importantly I am creating and sharing my handknits along with you and reviewing every yarn and pattern I knit with to help you choose your next fiber project.

Goodness Bobby, I am getting caught up BUT I just have to tell you, tonight I am watching “I’m Obsessed” which I believe m as you be your first Naples video in 2024! Bobby, Bobby, Bobby! Whoever is your hairstylist in Naples has done a superb job on your color this winter! As an old stylist, I loved doing perms more than color but yours is absolutely gorgeous! The colors blend together perfectly. Usually your “blonde highlights” are thicker and are pretty, but all I can say is WOW! I can not wait to see you with the Dusty Artichoke sweater on. You hair, skin tone and yarn are amazing!!!

Hi Bobby, I am watching all of your previous podcast, just finished Episode 17 and was interested in the book you had purchased about the Japanese Stitches. Since I am just getting back into knitting in my “golden” years I wondered if you could do a tutorial on chart reading or suggest a good KZread video for me to study? I believe you are a super talented instructor and have learned bunches from you already. Can’t wait to hear from you, and would love to purchase the book as soon as I am more confident in my abilities to read charts! Thanks! Liz

Hey Bobby, Love your podcast! My sister lived in New Market so I know just about where you are. We (the 3 girls) all live in Waynesville, NC now and I enjoy quilting and have gotten back in to knitting which I participated in years ago. So much fun now with KZread! I simply love Stephen West. I am working on the Boneyard Shawl right now for my granddaughter and plans to make the Slumber Shawl next for the other granddaughter. Somewhere in there I want to knit the Nebula by Andrea Mowry for myself. Your knits are beautiful and make me happy. Thanks for sharing and if I ever get the courage to make a video I will contact you for more info. Liz

Hello, your knits are just gorgeous! Really like your style. Can I ask you, what Bind-Off did you use on the Clover Tee? It looks so clean. My knitted garments are lovely too, but my BO is always letting me down. It either looks unclean or it's too tight or too stretchy (when using a stretchy BO). - Tried multiple methods but never happy with any. Appreciate any advice. thanks, Cathleen

  • @knitterskniche

Hello! I don’t know if there is a name for the bind off I used. I saw it on a Stephen West video, not sure which video. You k2tog through the back loops, put that stitch from the right needle back to the left needle. Repeat these steps until you have one stitch left. It’s very easy. If you’re a tight needle, bind off with needles one size up. This is a stretchy bind off but it doesn’t flare. Thank you so much for lovely comment and for watching my little KZread channel! Bobbi 😊❤️

I love your style, I love almost all the patterns you choose. I only found your podcasts a few weeks ago as I am a fairly new knitter. I have a question: you sometimes mention buying a sweaters worth of yarn and I'd like to know how many balls of yarn that is, please? I have tried to do some research on this but I can only find advice on long sleeved sweaters in worsted yarn. Congratulations on your podcasts.

How wonderful to watch you celebrate 2 years of the podcast. I love every episode! I too crocheted first, but taught myself to knit from little diagrams in the back of a knitting magazine in about 6th grade (like late ‘70s). I knew no one else who knit to ask for help and intuitively knit continental. I had no idea other’s didn’t until a seasoned (but apparently limited exposure to different techniques) knitter saw me and was mystified as to how I was actually doing it. It makes me greatly appreciative of you and others who gracious spend your time and energy to share patterns, techniques, materials etc. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! 💜

Thank you Mimi! You are so kind! I was lucky to have a friend with a yarn shop! She taught me how to knit knowing that continental knitting would be easier and faster. I wish I would have learned to knit when I was a young girl. I guess I’m making up for lost time because now I knit everyday. Thank you for your lovely comment and for watching my little KZread channel! Have a wonderful day my friend. Bobbi 😊❤️

Congratulations, Bobbi on your 2 year Podiversary. I always enjoy watching you. Your knits are beautiful. You have been quite an inspiration. I just finished knitting the Ilha sweater. It's so pretty in a soft blue using Sandnes Garn yarn. Now I'm thinking about knitting another Petite Knit sweater for winter. We are supposed to have a cold winter this year in the Huntsville area so a long sleeve sweater might be nice. I might knit the No Frill Sweater. Have a wonderful summer and stay cool. Diane
